  1. Where do you think they’ll end up? I’ve predicted mid 150’s, thought I was just slightly conservative. That was my predicated on CS healthy and winning, which is no given on either account. I’m not optimistic with Davis.
  2. Even if that chance was one out of one hundred? There's always risk, up to the individual. But statistically, that's a fantastic R/R opportunity. PSU -650 doesn't mirror that, that's what these guys above are talking about that and why the line's much greater now. Would have LOVED to catch it at -300.
  3. You'd rather lose $25 than make $400? Interesting
  4. Why you say that? A 99+% favorite at 6.5 to 1 seems like a fantastic R/R venture.
  5. Hey Jimmy. Pretty reasonable. I wonder if CS loses that early and injury is a relatively big factor, if he’ll finish the tournament.
  6. Oh wow. I thought it’d be less than 3.9% just between Smith, Van Dee, and Allred. Thank you sir
  7. What is that likelihood based on how you assign probability to seeds? Leave Hutmacher off haha, my dog is more likely to turn into a dragon overnight than all nine happening.
  8. No they don’t. I know you don’t like math/statistics, but the probability of that happening based on the current seeds is extremely low, I’m guessing less than 1%. But I’m learning, “all about the matchups”, isn’t it.
  9. Wouldn’t surprise me at all. Not ready to call that yet, but I don’t think there’s anyone at 125 I’d shoe-in even to the quarterfinals. It’s a wild and wide open class. For Davis, I’d also be pleased with any placement/AA
  10. Really hoping that doesn't happen. Think it'll be tough though for Lewan to make it through Saldate and Robb.
  11. I hope they match up. Haven’t seen much at all of Shapiro, know he’s good but don’t know the style. I can’t handle another Lewan 1-1 OT match
  12. Absolutely, that’s gonna be every year for a while. If Bartlett, Starroci, and Kerk all come back, that team could set the scoring record. No one competes with that. If none of them do…could open the door a bit. A lot would still have to go right for Iowa, a lot wrong for Penn State, and yeah people are saying that every offseason. But there’s a path that at least allows them to compete(within 10 in a dual, 25 at NCAA’s) that I don’t think’s incredibly unreasonable. I wonder what might unfold where Penn State will pursue any transfers this Spring, maybe 285 if Kerk leaves?
  13. 125 Stanich, Ramos 133 Fix, Crookham 141 Mendez, Mendez 149 Lovett, Parco 157 Haines, Haines 165 O’Toole, O’Toole 174 Lewis, Starocci 184 Keckeisen, Keckeisen 197 Brooks, Brooks 285 Bastida, Kerkvliet
  14. I actually think if a few things fall into place for Iowa(Glazier, Brands, a transfer or two) and Starrocci and Kerk don’t come back, Iowa will be competitive with Penn State next year. I’d chalk this one up to circumstance and lessons learned. They’d be the clear number two if their gamblers made better decisions.
  15. Wish Mesenbrink was at 157, would LOVE to watch that match.
  16. Name them! I challenged you on that before and you red herring'd me with a bunch of Starroci bs. Initially you said "very average", which is quite possibly the stupidest statement ever said here. Be a man and answer the question, which team is better from 125-149?
  17. He had a reaction in anger/frustration/emotion, pretty similar to you and your posts. You know very well what the PSU Wrestling culture is and the standard it’s set.
  18. The best group to me is the group that scores the most points in the setting that matters the most. So far, the best situation for that reference is the Big 10 Tournament. Number of champs…is that a prediction? What team has a better group of 125-149 guys? Do you not understand that disparaging Penn State wrestling these days makes you look like a total fool?
  19. You and Nebraska can adopt that loser/victim mentality, Penn State will just wrestle. And win. Again. Whatever it’s about, your guy at 125 is middle of the fieldish at NCAA’s. It’s extremely likely Davis will lose at least one match at NCAA’s just as it is for everyone in that weight class. If so, he’s young and will have several more opportunities. Above average…getting closer. It’s the best group in the country in that combination. And Penn State’s “weak” part of their lineup. That is hard to handle if you’re still holding out hope. You gotta let go of that as Nebraska is not the team. You got pretty excited when Carter got hurt, didn’t you? Thought that opened the door for a team race? Good God man
  20. Ok. The totality of season matchups will determine one guy is a #1 or 2 seed(likely) and the other guy is, I don’t know, a 12 to 15? Maybe worse? One is definitely better at matchups, which seem fairly important here, and it’s not the one you’re pedestaling. But that’s not the worst of your commentary. The “very average” group of four PSU wrestlers just outscored the mighty big Husker four 66.5 to 54 this weekend. And history tells us one of those groups gets even better ~two weeks later and one doesn’t. Are you ready to retract anything yet? Just say you were speaking on emotion and frustration and I won’t bring it up again.
  21. Teched by Barnett, a TECH FALL, shortly after you declared Davis part of a “very average” group that just went 1, 3, 2, 3 at the Big Ten Tournament. You’re the worst poster in the history of these forums, at least Cinnabun was trolling. You actually believe the crap that you type.
  22. Glad Mendez won, did Bartlett take a single legit shot?
