  1. I'll wait for the answer like I have at the old forum...why is Covid counted differently than any other virus???
  2. And you post Trump's tweets like they are something new...the guy is an idiot and been texting stupid things for many many years...so what is your point?
  3. Please explain why he should go to prison? What about his tax returns screams, put this man away? He followed what the IRS rules were. Just so we all are clear, if he did something wrong and broke the law, by all means send the idiot to prison, but this whole tax thing, just like the Jan 6 committee, is nothing but a political dog and pony show.
  4. Voter fraud/tampering/whatever you want to call it, does happen and on both sides. The fact that some can argue against one sides claim the other side does it, then justify that by showing how someone on the other side of the political isle got arrested in a voter tampering case just shows your political bias and clearly shows it happens. Again, it happens on both sides...both of the last two presidential candidates claimed shenanigans when they lost...both the lefties and the righties squaked when it happened to their candidate, yet said it didn't happen to the other side when their candidate won. Funny how people have such short memories. As for the original topic, all a political smoke screen and witch hunt. Trump is an idiot and sure we all can play armchair quarterback as to what the idiot should or shouldn't have done after the fact. Not to stick up for the dumba$$ but he probably had no idea the stupid mob of people would take it as far as they did. Sort of like all the other politicians (including the president) didn't do enough to stop the rioters across the country burning and destroying court houses, small business, homes, and police stations...point being it is crazy on how people have selective outrage.
  5. "The Body Guard" soundtrack CD. Oh wait...you said favorite....
  6. Jason I respect you tremendously for what you have done and given to the sport but you basing your opinion on this matter because of the number of tweets seems beneath you...you clearly don't like Bono...fine but come on dude...
  7. How do you know you are a narcist's without saying you are a narcissist...start self-centered post.
  8. hypocrisy...be mad...or be mad at someone who votes differently than you
  9. What is the worst is idiots that think they watch on a news channel is the truth...yet try and claim they are "smart". You guys do realize you are idiots right??
  10. I have no dog in this fight as I could care less about a .500 wrestler that left a team for another...but dude...what is your deal. Did Bono steal your wife or something? Did he kick your dog? Your lack of any sort of objective thinking is crazily obvious. There is 10 times more to this story than anyone on here knows...period. It's unfortunate, for what ever reason, that Burwick missed the transfer deadline...he will have to live with the consequences. Quite looking for the boogeyman to hang when your true issue is either Bono stole your wife or Burwick is your significant other.
  11. Why is this so hard for one person to understand...it can absolutely be wrong to influence people to hold certain believes on social media, especially when it can persuade ones thinking and voting behaviors...and yet it can be completely "legal". Does anyone on here not agree that social media absolutely influences people one way or the other and it isn't a good thing...period?? No mention of legality. The other part is, people are clearly biased in what "bothers" them in terms of Twitter, et. al....when the old CEO was censoring and blocking a certain political group, the D's loved it and the R's hated it, now that a new CEO is in place, the D's hate it and attack him and the R's love it...when each CEO was doing the EXACT SAME THING as the other!!! It's fascinating that certain people can't see that this is the hypocrisy of the two-party system, and that they think their side is right and the other side are complete idiots, and vice versa...guess what, both sides are right in both cases. I'll never understand the blind allegiance to one political party or the other...to me people that do that are completely weak minded.
  12. Shall I go on?? It's fine, you are obsessed with Trump and it's okay...we all are different in our own way.
  13. On the twitter thread you at least waited until the 2nd page...albeit it was the very first post on the second page.
  14. This very thread...third post on the topic....
  15. So bring him up in every topic and in every debate?? Guess you do you Mike...
  16. I agree in that he does need to go away, but I just choose to ignore him as he is irrelevant politically...to me anyway. I just don't understand the obsession...both ways really...but some on here can't seem to discuss a topic without bringing the guy up.
  17. Someone's obsession with Trump is very disturbing. Man I can't imagine living my life so obsessed with another person that I couldn't talk about a single topic without bringing that persons name up...yikes!! Poster A: "What did you all think of the New Zeeland volcano documentary on Netflix?" Obsessed with Trump Poster: "Well it's Trumps fault, he colluded with the Russians and the big oil folks that caused the volcano to erupt!!!! TRUMP!!! TRUMP!!!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!!"
  18. Good question...what I have found is when I read a story on either of the two websites (since I don't watch news on tv) i compare what the other site says about the same thing...then the key is to google it and find a source close to where said "thing" happened and it usually fills in the blanks and/or I can piece things from all the news sources I read to garner what is fact through all the opinion and narrative. There are news outlets online that are old school and just tell you the facts without interjecting their opinion...or my favorite ruse, their "analysis".
  19. So, what I gathered from this 12-page thread is if you vote "D" you LOVED how twitter was run before Elon and defend it because "it is a private company" for all it's censorship, and post Elon you HATE how twitter is run, but seem to conveniently ignore the "it is a private company" thing...and thus you criticize Elon for doing the exact same thing Dorsey was doing. Here is a thought...if you don't like twitter, or it's owner, don't use it. If you want to hear nothing but left-wing crap, listen and read CNN, MSNBC, ABC, etc....if you want to hear nothing but right-wing crap, listen and read Fox. If you are in the middle (like me), read both websites and then sit back and shake your head at the ridiculousness of each and how people just believe what they read...and I should say, believe the headlines they read. Just find it odd that someone would not want to think for themselves and would rather let a news outlet and/or a politician tell them how to think and act. And then get hostile and call people names because they think differently than you. SMH
  20. All good...My bad for not being more clear. Go Bucks!
  21. Just sharing my thoughts on the topic...there wasn't a question, or any further confusion on my part.
  22. I had to think through this many times so my small brain could wrap my head around what some of you are saying as I am a believer that what sets wrestling apart from team sports is that the wrestler who beats the other guys on his team at a specific weight is the starter for that weight class...period. I think the guy who wins should get the spot, but also understand that if a guy beats a guy more times than not in the room and then loses a close one in the "wrestle off" some decisions would need to be made in who gets the spot. But I have to believe that it is very rare that a guy beats another guy in the room consistently, and in a "wrestle off" that they wouldn't get the starting spot.
  23. Whole heartedly agree with this premise but let's think through what the real problem is and then solve for that. Once you do that you can use the simplest solution possible. I personally haven't heard what the real problem is...I've heard things that people like and don't like but that doesn't always mean something is a problem. Example...are we truly loosing numbers of wrestlers because of the redshirt process as it currently is? Are we loosing college programs because of the redshirt process? What does the data show in terms of correlation versus causation?
  24. Is this argument more about the perceived "have's" and "have not's", or about redshirting?? To me those are two separate arguments and I find it hard to smoosh the two together, but that is just me. I am all for redshirting and really don't see what baring it is if your family comes from wealth, or it doesn't. People can argue all they want until they are blue in the face that this is somehow inherently "unfair" because of one's personal socio-economic situation...seems pretty illogical to base something that overwhelmingly seems like a good thing for college athletes (redshirting), because some may have a situation in which they come from a family that doesn't make as much money as another family. My family was very poor growing up, and I was the first to go to college on both sides of my family and had to take loans out, work a part time job and try and wrestle...never once did I think taking a redshirt benefited the rich kid, and it however somehow hurt me. Everyone's life situation is different, and I didn't begrudge the kids who had money, I instead focused on myself and what I had to do to better myself and my financial situation...whether there was redshirting allowed or it wasn't made no difference because of my lack of money in college, it did make a difference in how prepared kids were for doing athletics and academics in college regardless of income level...in a good way. As for the argument that even NIL is for the super elite and "the privileged" (sure like to know how you define that ), again NIL isn't inherently for or against anyone...it is there for anyone to take advantage of...just because one person may be better at marketing themselves than another person doesn't mean it isn't fair.
