How many just "solid" wrestlers have taken Lewis to OT, and also lost by just a point in another match? How many just "solid" wrestlers have lost to Starocci by a single point?
  2. Goodale said that Alvarez is no longer with the team.
  3. DePrez injury defaulted his last match at the Scuffle. Legit no-show.
  4. Wrong. I have ESPN+, which is a streaming service for which I have a subscription (they carry all the home Ivy sports). This dual is on the ACC Network Extra, which is actually a channel that is part of ESPN's package, and requires a TV provider (e.g., YouTubeTV, Hulu, DirecTV, etc.) subscription.
  5. Do you know if VT has any radio broadcast for this? I don't have ACC Network Extra, and I don't feel like trying to follow it on Twitter.
  6. It appeared that the room was too hot, so the wrestlers were getting very sweaty (I saw some sweat dripping from heads), resulting in needing time to wipe down the mats between matches.
  7. That's the Cornell vs. Virginia Tech dual (I know, because I don't have ESPN and thus no ACC NE).
  8. Nice assumption, as I have expressed nothing one way or another.
  9. Is it different than it used to be? Serious question.
  10. (My brain hurts reading that sentence) Cherry-picking to follow, wrt "stat padding matches". Gabe Dean, 2015-2016 season: Started with the NWCA All-Star match. Dual meets: Oklahoma, WV, NC State, Northern Iowa, Missouri, EIWA/Ivy duals (required), Minnesota, Iowa, Lehigh 2x. Tournaments: CKLV, Southern Scuffle (seven matches!), EIWA, NCAA. Not even going to count the five matches at the November NYS Intercollegiate tournament, since they were too easy, I'm sure.
  11. That adds nothing. Is the season longer than it was? Was it always "too long," despite the fact that many top wrestlers competed in 40+ matches per season?
  12. Is the season longer now than it used to be, when top wrestlers routinely had 30-40 matches? All I have access to is Cornell's record book, and I see more than a dozen guys with more than 44 matches in a season, all of which were in the last fifteen years (and Dake isn't one of them). When did the season get too long?
  13. As an aside, Gabe Dean had 101 *bonus* wins alone. Arujau already has 52 bonus wins, with 1.5 seaons left. It's a bit like Hank Aaron: take away his 755 home runs, and he still had over 3,000 hits.
  14. Arujau is 59-6, might get nearly 20 more wins this year, and he has next year to go. Foca has 37 through 1.5 seasons (not clear if he will get one or two more years). Yianni is 97-2. RBY has 87 wins (across five years); Max Dean has 89 wins. Glory has 80 wins; Monday has 81. Jacob Warner has 85 wins. All those could get to 100, health (and weight, for Glory) permitting. But your point is well taken!
  15. Doubtful. Arujau has had no issues with 133 lbers so far. (I assume you meant "make 125")
  16. Yeah, how can it be relevant? 3x NCAA champions who got knee surgery and wrestled the next year. Just another data point.
  17. Google search is your friend! I don't remember that at all.
  18. Beginning of January. January 7th, I believe. He gave an interview on 1/2 that referenced the surgery "on Friday."
  19. Yianni only had surgery on one knee, and possibly not as damaged, but nine months after March surgery, he began competition again. He wrestled four matches in his first tournament in November, and wrestled 11 matches by the end of December, with the last one avenging (again) his loss to Eierman. Ended up at 29-0. Spencer's surgery was nearly a year ago, right?
  20. How hard is this to figure out? You need a Rokfin subscription: $14.99/month, cancel any time. You need a one-time PPV for this event: $15. You can cancel the day after you subscribe, and your subscription is good for the rest of the month. So, $30 to watch PSU, Cornell, ISU, OSU, Lehigh, etc. each three times.
  21. Just for grins, Nick Lee in 2018, as the #8 seed who lost in the first round, proceeded to wrestle and beat (in order) the #9, 10, and 16 seeds, then lost to the #2 seed and finally beat the #5 seed for 5th. That's a high fiber diet.
