I could be wrong, but I feel as if Chittum doesn't turn 21 until after the season next year! Not that it will make much of a difference. He is "old" regardless.

Very reasonable. He may never beat Haines again, but he did this year. For a while it seemed as if his name might be an answer to a future trivia question: "Name the only wrestler to defeat Levi Haines in college."

And Zerban beat Haines.

Exactly. I know a Teams guy. Did a greyshirt and then college. They took him, no problem! Not to mention that I have heard it said all the time that there is no real formula for guessing who will make it and who won't. I am told that stud athletes fail all the time. Supposedly a big thing is dealing with failure. You are going to deal with finishing low, barely finishing, or failing various tests. Sometimes star athletes can't deal with that. (Does this sound right to anyone more knowledgeable than me?)

Not to mention that Noto (and I think) was getting mouthy with NC State bench after his bout (OT win?) during their dual this year. If I remember correctly, several people had to be restrained and/or removed from the situation. Not even nearly as bad as the other allegation, but it just doesn't scream "class act."

Everyone is doing it. Woods was initially tied to PSU, via reports but that was later denied. PSU also has had plenty of others with Hildebrant, Conel, Betancourt, etc. Some have worked out better than others. Let's not forget the supposed Griffith and Wick attempts. The point that I made was: don't pretend that Dean was the only guy to ever transfer to PSU and wrestle. Also, don't pretend that PSU doesn't use the portal. It is just not accurate. Would be real tough for Starocci to make 74 kg if he moved to 184. That is his stated goal, the 74 kg. It is going to be tough enough already. Could he reevaluate his goals? Certainly. I'm just going off what he has said.

Yes, I was on past board. I don't really hate UNC, Tech on the other hand! (and my wife went to Tech) I headed down for ACC tourney this year and had a great time. I was actually sitting with UNC team members and parents for a bit. Had fun rooting for AOC vs. Andonian in the final.
