  1. I would put Abas ahead of Lee!!! I just said that Pac-10 was a weak conference! (and was clarifying that NHS was likely arguing that 2020 Lee was the most dominant 125 we have seen)
  2. I missed the "trickery" of 'no losses at 125." Forgot that his losses were at 118. I can think of some international seasons he missed with knee issues...
  3. How much of this recruitment stuff came from the Ferarris and how much is true? Have the older two even visited?
  4. It adds no context. It is scummy because Lee and thousands of other lost a chance to compete and you are reveling in it., because you think it makes your argument better. Millions lost opportunities or loved ones, but it is a point you are making in a dumb internet argument that started when I said you can't compare a PAC schedule to a Big 10 schedule. It actually adds ZERO context, because you don't mention why it took six years.
  5. The funny thing is I would generally put Abas in as my top 125, he just was never as dominant as Lee, and wrestled a far weaker schedule. I am a Spencer Lee fan, but I can see the obvious flaws. The six year thing is a bit low on your part, though. Kinda scummy tbh.
  6. Why was Lee a 6th year senior? Almost like something happened during his career that no one had control over? Were there other six year seniors in his weight? Weird. Don't be disingenuous.
  7. Oh... so "never lost at 125" but lost twice at 118! Tricky! Guess what - same basic weight class, different weigh-in rules.
  8. Well, he has high school junior Ferrari getting rejected by admissions, and Ayala and Cassioppi set to enter the (closed) portal any day now. I would guess that he isn't half correct.
  9. Some competition, yes. But those 144 wins and "no losses at 125" just aren't the same in a lesser conference. Both stats were used to show Abas superiority. I was just adding some context. Does he have "no losses at 125 with a Big 12 or Big 10 schedule? He would see Oklahoma State a bit "moore" for instance. And if he wrestled when he was supposed to: How come "only" three titles?
  10. Pac 10 indeed! I forgot? How many All-Americans did Spencer have per year in Big 10? Many more opportunities to have a bad day in Big 10. I saw him wrestle in person a a couple of occasions. I always put him in the top tier of my 125 lb all time great list. However, I think that NHS may have been saying that when Spencer was "on" in 2020, he was the most dominant 125 that there has ever been. Peak Spencer. Abas never destroyed top guys to the extent that Spencer did in 2020. Funny that Abas does not seem to like any Spencer comparisons and really looks to put Spencer's wrestling abilities down when he speaks about him.
  11. The entire team was given a choice as to whether they wanted Isiah?
  12. Probably because they are older and more mature so there is always a theory that they were dominant in high school due to physical maturity. As they enter college, this physical maturity advantage will evaporate. Therefore, these older freshman are looked at as being more finished products, but probably won't improve as much as an 18 year old freshman.
  13. He will be a 21 year old true freshman, but after wrestling season.
  14. I don't think that's as much the issue anymore. Sports betting does not involve unsavory underworld characters to the extent that is used to. A lot of it is probably done online or even in casinos. I think they are more concerned about "insider information" and/or throwing games/point shaving. The rules may date back to the day when you could find yourself in a lot of trouble by owing some bad people lots of money, but I don't think this happens as much these days. I know a few sports bettors and they used to use organized crime associated figures to place bets, but now they do it online or at casinos. I imagine college kids are similar.
  15. Carter Alphonse is seven years younger, but why does it matter? Their are no age categories for wrestling in the Olympics, nor any bonus points regarding age. If anything, The Carter should be improving, but after beating Ringer last year, he was clobbered this year. Seems to be a regression.
  16. Good point. You could also argue that Cael hasn't had to deal with salary cap or a draft, but I would say that we pretty much agree.
  17. What weight did you wrestle this year, or are you a coach? OUR? Cael is EXACTLY like Bellichick. Very quiet. Doesn't seem charismatic to people on the outside. Doesn't divulge secrets. Will do whatever it takes to win. You missed the whole point. Not very smart. Maybe you were one of the guys who got hit in the head wrestling in an international tournament and then Cael messed around with accepted concussion protocol to get a couple W's? OUR? What a joke.
  18. He gave an interview after winning a match at NCAA (semis?) where he yelled "665 Deadlift, baby!!!!"
  19. No problem. Also, when Messenbrink signed, he was not highly recruited. He had underperformed at Super 32 and possible at some other tournaments. Some adjustments were made, and he went on a tear. Maybe he stays at Cal-Baptist if Zalesky stayed, but maybe not. He had become a different wrestler, transferring is easy now, and he knew his value.
