  1. If Sasso were to have spent this last offseason making the appropriate adjustments to go 157 instead of 149 then yes. He would be one if the favorites. If he were to go up now, he would get out-horsed by Robb, O'Conner, and Franek. I hope he goes up next season.
  2. As far as duals go, when it comes to conferences you seed the weight. Only use results from the in-conference duals. Establish some sort of criteria if dual record is tied such as: - H2H of wrestlers entered (current season only) - Overall Winning Percentage (current season only - D1 and same weight) - Coaches Rank
  3. I believe it has to do with him having one year left, but his degree will be complete at Harvard - ergo he has to go if he wishes to use his last year of up. More like letting folks know he wants money come April.
  4. These gents have transitives to work with. If it took place at 70 KG Zain wins right now.
  5. I think conference champions should all be seeded first then go through the rest. Yes I know that would mean seeding the MAC and SOCON champ ahead of two of the three best heavies in the land.
  6. I mean... to be clear Track had him listed a month ago as having certified and passed. This isn't news.
  7. 125 - Iowa Pin 133 - UofM Dec 141 - Iowa Dec 149 - Iowa Dec 157 - UofM Dec 165 - UofM Dec 174 - Iowa Dec 184 - UofM Dec 197 - UofM Dec 285 - UofM Dec 133 - If not Teske, Ragusin could bonus at 133. 141 and 149 could be Majors if it is Nolan and Mayora, respectively. I believe Walker has a better chance against Brands than Maylor at 174. Brands has a significant GRIT level on Maylor and that gap could push to a Major. Woodley could Major if it isn't Warner at 197 for Iowa. Parris could pin. UofM over Iowa 18-15.
  8. Because world medalists at non-Olympic weights get a bye to the semi-finals of Olympic Trials, or at least they did for 2020(1). Look at the contenders of both weights: 74 - Dake, Nolf 70 - Retherford, Pantaleo, Oliver, Deakin, Berger I would also go the 70 KG route if I could and my goal was 2024 74 KG Olympics. The same reason if I am the other Hidlay aiming for 86 KG - Go 92 KG this Freestyle season. Moore, Jackson <<<<< Taylor, Valencia
  9. Holy crap guys. Can we please keep the posts to under 49.5 words? Asking for a friend. One who don't read words good.
  10. Also Moore-Aeillo being 6-6 criteria for Moore was a surprise.
  11. Wish we had sent more men to participate in the real wrestling tournament this week. Even if we aren't on par with the women's style (yet) we should be putting the same push towards all styles equally.
  12. Askren also touched on this... nobody really looked at him or took his recruiting seriously. Cal Baptist did. He had said that he was getting all sorts of calls after the Haines victory, but he had already committed.
  13. Askren has talked about it in spurts on FRL and then he will say things like "I'm going to shut up about it now." He doesn't like his approach to coaching and the entire Burwikk scenario accents precisely why he doesn't like him.
  14. Richards beating Cruz was nice. Didn't expect it to be that one sided, however not a surprise it was controlled. Cruz seemingly hasn't improved (much) since his loss to Ragusin.
  15. Still clearly Tier 2, though, right? Hint: He never was.
  16. I missed Hidlay's loss. Was it a weight issue? He last weighed in over twenty pounds up from there.
  17. James Green went to Nebraska, and they have/had some rather good freestylers through there. I don't think for a second either will be his destonation.
  18. Yeah. Askren reiterated that it meant for the season all the while telling Pyle he was a dummy. It was great.
  19. The wife lost her shit on Sunday's episode if Last Of Us. Ron Swanson immortalized in a different sort of light was refreshing. Also, Marley And Me? Cried like a bitch, myself.
  20. Y'all understand this still exists in the history of our sport, correct?
