  1. Where did you get this last part of your quote?
  2. I love option two with the caveat that I believe losing wrestlers should be allowed to score team points too, if they score points. So a 9-8 match would br 20+9+1=30 to 8 for team purposes.
  3. Ew. That said, I do think that a modification in team scoring could be in order. Example... Guy loses 6-1 via Decision, the loser gets one point for his team. 3-1 point swing (similar to Freestyle). If the match ends via points, whether Tech, Major, or Decision, the loser will earn 1 or 0 points. If he earned 0 points during the match he earns 0 team points. If he earns more than 0 points during the match, he earns 1 point for his team. A pin, default, or forfeit is a 6-0 swing no matter what. As far as individual matches go, I would actually prefer they adopt Freestyle rules altogether. If they don't, I am all on board for them deciding how they score the points during the match. I may not like the 3 point takedown, however they make the rules - not me. Here are two examples from last year. The first being the closest dual Penn State had last year. It was with Iowa and it was a 23-14 victory for Penn State. 125 - Iowa Tech 18-2 Old 0-5, New 1-5 133 - Penn State Pin Old 6-5, New 7-5 141 - Iowa Dec 4-1 Old 6-8, New 8-8 149 - Iowa Dec 4-1 Old 6-11, New 9-11 157 - Penn State Dec 3-2 Old 9-11, New 12-12 165 - Iowa Dec 2-1 Old 9-14, New 13-15 174 - Penn State Dec 2-1 Old 12-14, New 16-16 184 - Penn State Tech 22-7 Old 17-14, New 21-17 197 - Penn State Dec 2-0 Old 20-14, New 24-17 285 - Penn State Dec 4-1 Old 23-14, New 27-18 Adds a little more spice to it for me. Now the second example, which was a bit more competitive of a dual... Rutgers - Michigan State, where Rutgers won via 17-16 and it was a 5-5 match dual. 125 - Rutgers Dec 6-3 Old 3-0, New 3-1 133 - Rutgers Dec 4-3 Old 6-0, New 6-2 141 - Rutgers Maj 16-4 Old 10-0, New 10-3 149 - Rutgers Dec 5-3 Old 13-0, New 13-4 157 - Michigan State Dec 5-0 Old 13-3, New 13-7 165 - Michigan State Dec 2-0 Old 13-6, New 13-10 174 - Rutgers Dec 7-2 Old 16-6, New 16-10 184 - Michigan State Maj 16-6 Old 16-10, New 17-14 197 - Michigan State Dec 3-1 Old 16-13, New 18-17 285 - Michigan State Dec 3-0 Old 16-16, New 18-20 Michigan State would have won 20-18 rather than lost 16-16 on criteria.
  4. Turds stole my content idea.... https://www.flowrestling.org/articles/11156827-daton-fix-registers-for-57-kilos-is-an-ncaa-weight-change-next
  5. Daton Fix at 57 KG. Anyone think he might head down to 125 for next season? Would that even make sense for the lineup? Spratley to 133 for a season?
  6. Justin Basch posted this the other day...
  7. Do people really think he isn't going to finish it off at Minnesota? That lineup becomes insanely salty with him back in it. They go from a fringe guy at 285 in Joles to Joles being a darkhorse at 197 and the champ at 285. Everyone knows he was just letting his son (Mason Gableson) earn his title. He's a good father.
  8. Sorry... misread that as Yeunglings... Still yes, I just feel the need to clarify.
  9. I think we might also see one of two things happen in the future as well... A - Women's Greco is added via UWW. The change this might do to our Olympic chances is that it may reduce our current '6' weight system down to '4' weights. That would be shit. B - Greco roman is dropped and only Freestyle is offered. I don't think they would increase the number of weight classes in this scenario. It would be likely to add something else that is more 'hip' with the children these days.
  10. Listen here, JB. We don't need to be bothered by your facts! Also, good to know. I knew they were close, I did not know they were the actual hosts of the event.
  11. We have had NCAAs in MSG and they don't have a college team. I don't see why having a team that competes at an event to 'host' NCAAs would be the requirement. LA simply being LA should be the reason to have NCAAs out there. That said, LA is about the most expensive town I have ever been to. Not exactly enticing as a fan to make a trip there. That might be a season I do B1Gs and WTT rather than NCAAs.
  12. Clarion is quietly getting a shit tonne of MACworthy talent. How many is that through the portal for them the last two years? Edit: Looks like half their starters...
  13. Ever since Flo bought Track I have had full FloPro access to Track as well.
  14. 134 was weight class then. 57 KG then and now is ~125lbs. That was why I said 125.
  15. Didn't he try to kill his wife or something? Also, did Chittum's daddy sign off on it? Heard he was pissed that Swiderski was pushing him up to 165. Also heard Swiderski told Daddy Chittum to pound sand and to go chop some wood.
  16. Will Israel even be allowed there?
  17. I heard Cox was over 240 from someone about as close as you can be to him. It doesn't exactly surprise me. Zillmer had made a comment in one of his interviews at World Team Camp that even though he was our HWT he was probably lighter than both Snyder and Cox after practices. And when he was asked what he was weighing he said '220... 225 or so' so that puts Cox at about 230 in my mind. Add in another 11lbs due to the weight class change and 240 isn't insane to think of. I am also of the mind that his style would transcend weight classes. While he might not beat Snyder he can do the same thing at 97 KG as he could at 92 KG and I also think he would have won the spot had he just accepted the 97.1 KG and gone 125 KG that year. Imagine a 240lb him VS Zare or Akgul. If Gwiazdowski can keep it close, imagine how close it would have been with Cox...
  18. Had they not picked up Koll they would not be recruiting nearly as well. Koll as their HC is the reason they have not taken any sort of step back (aside for losing Woods and Griffith...).
  19. Well.. despite the apparent and obvious Chonk that is Sadulaev's new nickname there have been some who have said he hasn't weighed over 100 KG. While I doubt that, it leads me to believe that the injured Cox is pulling a White Goodman in anticipation of Snyder winning another Worlds Gold medal. Even though I think Chonkulaev got considerably heavier than 100 KG at his highest, I think Cox is more at this point.
  20. You are most welcome. Got a bit fuzzy there. Thought I was going to have to lace em up to defend my family honour.
