  1. He's the one who said he was unhappy with Greco leadership and was considering a different path moving forward. I didn't say it for him. What other path is there for him, if he stays wrestling? Calling it quits after Folkstyle? I don't buy it. The guy has Olympic aspirations. And don't think for one second that he wouldn't absolutely be a factor, were Gable to not give it a go. He has the size and horsepower. Let him focus on Freestyle for the year while spot-starting for ASU in Folkstyle and I would absolutely be a factor.
  2. I may have started that movement here. I apologize. If it means more exposure, though... bring it. All for it.
  3. Does he have D1 aspirations? Will he do his 2 (3) years then look at a place like Michigan State? You can be an undersized 125lber at the JUCO level. He needs some serious growth to succeed higher.
  4. They could also just vote the rught way and Bobbo would still win?
  5. It would be an entirely new project, I think. Meaning do the exact same thing, just based on the school. Obviously you don't have a 70% chance to improve on a #1 seed, but I am sure you can figure that out. IWknWT. Then perhaps simply averaging the two could give us an interesting bit of data to view too.
  6. Curious question, Ser... When you do the 'expected AA' portion you are doing it per the average performance for their seed (current rank), correct? What if you were to skew based off of school performance as well? How does it then look?
  7. I am not saying you can do that. I am also not saying the you cannot do that.
  8. I think we are closer to seeing Greco dropped from the Olympics than we are seeing Greco added for women's. We are probably closer to seeing weights dropped than we are to seeing weights added. I think if Greco is dropped from the Olympics we would end up going to seven (7) weights per gender. I then think the UWW will completely fckn botch it and make it like 70 KG or some stupid shit rather than redraw the weights for the Olympics. In that 'perfect' world with the weights being redrawn (for Olymipcs) I would prefer to see something like 60-66-72-81-90-100-130 as the weights for Men and 50, 54, 59, 65, 72, 80 for Women. It increments up appropriately for each style. It then allows us to restructure the other weights (55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 100, 130 & 47, 50, 54, 58, 62, 66, 70, 75, 80, 100 respectively) and add Greco for women, and have both styles for both genders to be the same weights... it baffles me why Greco and Freestyle do not have the same weights. It is stupid.
  9. I think we can give you the two, being as the NCAA has abandoned it. Just don't ask for three.
  10. Snap! We actually only need 17 more votes.
  11. Did you vote? Need 18 more votes for the good guys. Last word.
  12. I believe had he taken the approach of health management, in regards to his weight, when he first started this journey he wouldn't have to worry so much about it at this point. He would be either there or within striking distance. Instead it's "Let me practice a little... feel like I got it still... then cut 60lbs in two months... at the age of 50... -ish..."
  13. I am surprised his PoS dad hasn't showed up here yet. Is Bobbo stopping him at the door?
  14. It is funny watching keyboard warriors debate with an actual lawyer in a field they know actually nothing about. This thread is popcorn worthy. That said, I think it should be moved to Non-Wrestling Topics at this point? @BobDole, what do you say? They aren't talking wrestling. Wrestling hasn't been talked about... basically at all.
  15. I think you have the answer to the actual reason right in there...
  16. Aye, I do agree with your latter part. I do think of all the HWTs currently in D1... Kerkvliet is likely the one that is going to handle him. He isn't going to be as functionally strong, he is smaller, shorter, and again... just everything keeps adding up against him. He is a physical wrestler. He is going to take his lumps against some big, strong HWTs.
  17. You had me until here. Metcalf was as legit as they come as a sure-fire recruit.
  18. A guy who hasn't wrestled a match at 285 and hasn't spent much time actually wrestling the last two (2) calendar years is going to beat a guy who is in the best training situation in, quite possibly, the world that has been training and showing clear signs of improvement? Nah bro.
