    Agree. They need to make the outside of mats bigger first so guys can actually finish takedowns while they still have part of their body in bounds and not hitting the gym floor.

    I think it's a little bit of both. There are few guys capable of winning a title as a freshman (if ever of course). Even guys like Zain and Nick Lee likely could have benefitted from a redshirt from the wrestling-standpoint. I'm sure Arnold thinks he can, but let's be honest, super slim chance he beats Starocci. Seems like there's at least a 50/50 chance Starocci is not back next year. Lewis and Griffith are done as well. If his goal is 4 titles, he should probably redshirt this year.

    Ha, maybe. The weird thing to me is he said he didn't know he was wrestling 184 until Tom told him the day before. Does this tweet/post mean that if Tom says he's doing it again he'll say no?

    He's not wrestling 157 this year with Franek there. Maybe next year. Would be kinda crazy if he ends up wrestling 184 this year then 157 next.

    The reports of his arrest said she was his wife at the time. I believe they’re still married but not sure.

    Yeah I think there was at the time, but haven’t seen a whole lot this year. I’m guessing some Iowa fans would have said some things but didn’t want to look like too big of hypocrites if they didn’t say the same about AJ. Although of course we don’t know if the reaction to AJ if he actually takes the mat for Iowa will be much different…

    Wow that is a pretty stacked field, I feel like I wouldn’t be surprised to see any of those top 8 seeds AA. This will be a good test for the new MFF rule.

    Yes but IMO most of the ire against AJ seems to be due to the charges, which were similar to Echemendia’s I believe. Actually I believe Echemendia was charged with a felony and AJ was not?

    Who's they? I assume AJ and Anthony are aiming to enroll by the second semester so it's likely not a done deal yet. But if "they" is the coaching staff, Tom isn't exactly the most forthcoming with news anyway. He barely even acknowledged the gambling stuff until his recent tirade about people asking the wrong questions to the wrong people.
