    I don’t think it will be. I believe Bassett has a legitimate NIL deal with Rudis, but it seems like the real money comes with being affiliated with a school (which of course is the opposite of what NIL is supposed to be…)

    This is a good point. Plus it seems like Mason Gibson could struggle getting into PSU’s lineup, and maybe there are some other guys on McCort’s team that aren’t Penn State good but might still be AA contenders (I really don’t know much about the other guys, just speculating). Still, while getting ~50 points from 2 guys will certainly give them a huge leg up for 2nd, they’re probably still going to need about 100 more in order to dethrone Penn State.

    Yeah, it’s possible (likely maybe) he got it from Vito, I’m more interested in the why he’d actually wear it. As some sort of homage to Vito doesn’t really make sense since I don’t recall Vito ever wearing one, but I could be wrong. And then of course the bigger issue being the optics with right now seeming like not the best time to be wearing that. Which would go back to your point about when Vito gave it to him, since Vito giving it to him in the first place after the war started would seem a bit odd.
