  1. Agree with this. But if I were the coach I'd probably rather have the higher floor, especially at a weight like 125 with a lot of parity. Do we know if there was a wrestleoff?
  2. That Pinto/Montalvo match might have been one of the most exciting 1 minute matches I've ever seen
  3. Burwikk benched or did they just duck McGee?
  4. I thought the question was more about why didn't the count start earlier for Teske
  5. Yeah I noticed that as well. Not sure why he didn't start the count for Teske sooner. But some of those stalling count rules are a bit confusing IMO - https://www.ncaapublications.com/productdownloads/WR23.pdf
  6. So for the challenge in the Gfeller/Siebrecht match, is it true you can't challenge a danger TD that wasn't called because the wrestler has to be warned that they're in danger?
  7. I hope NJDan watched, he’ll see that Davidson wrestling exists
  8. Their 30 minute Who’s #1 match actually had some really good scrambles. Not so much for their NCAA finals match
  9. Considering they have beach volleyball, rowing, and water polo (and men’s baseball), seems odd that they don’t.
  10. I don’t think they seem that bad, but maybe IMO moreso that NC State and VT, and Pitt with a big help from the transfer portal are really good. What’s the situation with Sherman and Guida? Who’s the starter?
  11. Taylor Lujan should probably be included in that group as he was the #1 seed and had never AA’d before.
  12. Yup, this is the answer. I guess PSU fans might argue Cassar since he beat him and left eligibility on the table as well
  13. CMU has beaten Northern Illinois (among others) Northern Illinois has beaten Cal Baptist (among others) Cal Baptist has beaten Wyoming (among others) Wyoming has beaten Utah Valley Utah Valley has beaten Northern Colorado (among others) Northern Colorado has beaten Cal Poly (among others) Cal Poly has beaten ArIzona State (among others) Arizona State has beaten Missouri (among others) Missouri should probably drop their program
  14. ASU, Stanford and Oregon State and Cal Poly are all pretty decent (at least). Little Rock looks to be the only “bad” loss. But they beat CMU? Can’t be that bad then
  15. Last night wasn't Mauller's 100th was it?
  16. I don't think it's that as much as O'Toole being undefeated last season, Carr losing to Hunter Willits then moving up a weight
  17. Duke has a team, just not a good one. I'd go: Texas Georgia Georgia Tech Florida State Florida Miami Clemson Monmouth Kansas Kansas State
  18. All two first names team: 125: Spencer Lee, Iowa 133: Chance Rich, CSU Bakersfield 141: Ryan Jack, NC State 149: Yahya Thomas, Northwestern 157: Ed Scott, NC State 165: Connor Brady, VT 174: Mekhi Lewis, VT 184: Jacob Nolan, Binghamton 197: Max Dean, PSU 285: Isaac Reid, Lock Haven
  19. I kinda hope this happens and the NCAA finally does something about MFF’s. They could at least do something like counting a MFF as a loss only in the championship bracket.
  20. I do see now that Nomad was tweeting about 2 coaches leaving those guys off, and saying it was the Socon ones. He does seem to think it was just a mistake though.
  21. So we know for sure that all 3 of these guys were not on 2 ballots? I could see one rogue coach doing it, but not several (since I believe it was confirmed in the other thread that only Zeke had a vote at all 3 of those weights) edit: just saw WKN's comments about the Socon coaches in another thread...interesting
