  1. Chumbley, Mayfield, Ferrante can all be competitive or better from 149 - 165. Issue is getting someone down to 49. 125, 133, 285 gonna be a bobsled crash.
  2. Chumbley has a decent shot, Tal-Shahar and Fisher are live longshots
  3. Northwestern, sadly, will be bad to terrible (losing three AA's will do that. 125 Patrick Adams, the kid who transferred from Buffalo (does not look like a competitive B10 wrestler). 133 who knows, no one on the roster fits 141 Tal-Shahar 149 ?? maybe Trevor Chumbley drops down 157 Maxx Mayfield if Chumbley drops, or Vandenbush 165 Mayfield or David Ferrante 174 Troy Fisher or Joe Martin 184 Fisher or Martin 197 Evan Bates HWT Unknown freshman Dirk Morley ...that was depressing.
  4. Northwestern : Just like the Michigan prediction (but without D'Augustino, Cannon, Griffith and Davison).
  5. Deakin?...Deakin?...anyone? And Pantaleo just got stuck...
  6. Yes, that's why it's curious, especially if the cut was not too tough. He was one bad shot away from beating J.O., he obliterated Sammy Sasso, has beaten Pantaleo (and Carr btw), teched Berger, etc. Certainly would be in the mix for a world team spot.
  7. Thanks, found it. Now I want to know what's going on with Deakin? Is he done? He has proven capable of beating all the top guys entered at 70. Maybe he's done with the cut - and 74 is loaded just to get to Dake.
  8. When were you there? I'm also an alum and ex-wrestler. I have noticed you and I are the only ones who talk NU on here. Most students didn't even know we had a wrestling team back then. I'm guessing that has not changed.
  9. Zero chance. He spent two years becoming a full-sized hwt. And good-bye Mike D'aug, as predicted.
  10. Has to be Slav to NU now for symmetry's sake.
  11. Spot on. Deakin, Yahya and others had completed their undergrad but stayed on.
  12. But we don't seem to be getting any highly-rated kids. That and lack of staff on top of the kids leaving spells trouble. I don't get it.
  13. Not sure. But we've gone from having a great staff to having just Storny and ... Joe Rau. Disconcerting.
  14. 2x AA. Like I said elsewhere, we (NU) are falling apart. Mike D'Aug will be next.
  15. Yes they are. And we (NU) are falling apart. I expect D'Aug to be the next to go. I like Chumbley, Tal Shahar and Fisher, but...
  16. No, he was George Santo's Life Coach for many years, before disappearing on a solo kayaking journey through headhunter country at the headwaters of the Amazon.
  17. Does anyone know if Deakin is done competing?
  18. Can't recall all the previous escape artists, but recently Deakin was about impossible to ride. It was a question of would he be out in 5 seconds or less or might it take 10. (Exception that nightmare bit with DelVecchio of course!)
  19. I doubt Chris can make 25, but who knows. Lucas seemed pretty noncommittal in his post tourney interview. Said something like: 'I'm going to visit my girlfriend in Sweden, finish my Masters and then see'. Gotta admire his thinking!
  20. Maybe so. I think possibly Chumbley drops to 49 and Mayfield to 57 (his natural weight) with Ferrante back at 65. Agree about Bates and J. Martin moving in. My question is do Mike D. and Lucas Davison return.
  21. I'd love to speculate on Northwestern, but since they put out actual information about as frequently as North Korea, I'd have a good idea on about 5 weights.
