Thoughts from Frost arena on the dual 125 - Quick pin for Cronin. He looked healthy and shot off a cannon. Slick cradle. He looked like an AA contender today. Pin Cronin 133- Dryden is loooonngg. Neither guy did much. Cardinal did not really threaten Boo. Dec Dryden (4-1 I believe) 141- Coin flip match. Hardy got riding time by 1 or 2 seconds to push the match to OT and had a nice Td in OT. 141 has parity from 4-19 ranked guys. Dec Hardy 7-5 OT 149- Dominant performance by Martin. Neither guys was very high level but Martin is coming along nicely. Maj Dec Martin 8-0 157- Robb is just so tough. Wish he would have kept his original commitment to SDSU went Bono left. Swenson hung in and wrestled him as tough as you could have hoped for. Dec Robb 8-2 I believe 165- Mr. Gator Bacon Tanner Cook does it again with a 30 second pin. Pinto is going to be very solid for the Huskers the coming years. Dec Sloan 12-0 HWT- Nebraska kid hung in there much better than anticipated and almost stole one from Nevills. Nevills gets it done in OT. Dec Nevills 5-3 OT Nebraska 22- SDSU 17 Atmosphere in Frost was great today. A decent amount of Huskers fans made the trip to watch the dual. If you have never been to a dual at Frost Arena, it’s worth the trip. Go Jacks!

Couple of notes from this dual Gfeller's roll through leg grab is deadly. Not sure how he gets it work but has a high conversion rate for him. Joey Prata is sticky from the top position. Plott broke Roberts and looked very good. Moore pulls of the win over Voinovich in a match where he did absolutely nothing offensively. 165 does not look to be the right weight class for Sheets but 157 does appear to be the right weight class for Gfeller. Smith has made comment that they will both be moving down to 157 and 149 respectively.

That may be how you want it to play out but when you look at the data provided by WKN, Iowa is basically right on with these seeds. Either slightly higher or slightly lower depending on what data you use to calculate. I am a SDSU 1st fan so I can look at things a bit more subjective in looking at things perhaps. Now, if you ask me to pick AA's for the Jackrabbits... I am surely going to pick more than are ranked to finish as an AA.

I know Facundo was a very high recruit. Has he beaten anyone of note in his college career yet? SVN looks like he could be the real deal with his win over Kinner. We will know a lot more about his position with the top guys as next duals will be Johnny Lovett, Zach Sherman, tbd, Austin Gomez, Payton Omania , Max Murin, Sammy Sasso... There are plenty of opportunities for him there to cement himself as a contender.
