At one point in Haines match he takes Model down and begins to work on getting a leg turk in and the ref started counting (like a 5 count to call him for stalling). I thought that was strange as he was actively working for a pinning combo. Guys can sit on an ankle in a Blair ride doing nothing for a full period but we start counting for stall when a guy is actually trying to secure a pinning combo??
Agreed. I think it should be illegal. We stop arm bars not properly applied and there is much force applied on the bow and arrow than an improper arm bar.
He is saying RBY, Brooks and two from the group of: Starrocci, Dean, Kerk, Bartlett and to a lesser extent Van Ness and Haynes. Like it or not Karl has shown that his guys are ready come march...
When looking at the Beard vs Dean argument the only fair way to consider it is Deans 2 years plus whoever they recruit to succeed him for the next 2 years vs Beards 4 years. Knowing Penn States history with 197 I think they will be better suited following the route they have chosen.
I would be pretty surprised if Plott didn’t AA. He has looked great this year. I also think they get one on the podium between Mastro, Gfeller and Wittlake but definitely would not be shocked if they all failed to AA.
As someone who wrestled 145-189 in high school at 6’3” I totally understand what you are saying. I do think that Fix is so talented and understands positioning well enough to overcome the size difference and would likely win 141.
