  1. when he was asked about football he seemed that he was still doing it but maybe not as all in. He mentioned they were returning 3 linebackers and that he hoped he would get some special teams time.
  2. Aside from Radamacher I think we knew the caliber of everyone that made the u20 team. I will say I think Marcus Blaze is the best high school wrestler I have ever seen. Take that with a grain of salt because I was really young for the Stieber Dt era. Both Mantanona brothers thoroughly impressed me, and I am super excited to see them on the next level. If you have not gotten to watch the Lilledahl Forrest final, I would check it out that's some super high-level wrestling. Zack Ryder is really really good, and Gabe Arnold takes a step back from top 3 contention for me. The biggest surprises were at u23's for me. I think after the LCQ we were all aware of Gunerson but man did he just run through this tournament again. Wyatt Voelker had some really nice wins in both styles. Josh Saunders continues to be a much better freestyle guy. PK killed Ramirez they need to get him in the lineup. Endene looks like he was a great pickup for Wisconsin and appears to be able to go with D1 competition albeit it was probably the weakest weight. I was not familiar with Lucas stoddard but he teched nate taylor twice, so I am excited to watch him next year. I think Paniro will be fine at 157.
  3. just that he certified at it I think.
  4. this could be an over reaction to the series with Ryder but I think Angelo or PK may be better options at 174. If Gabe cannot generate offense I think he is clearly behind KOT,Hamiti, whoever PSU's guy is Welsh, devos.
  5. gabe has almost no ability to get to legs they should have let him take some lumps this year so he knew he had to develop but I think he still thought he could win against the best on defense.
  6. My dad roomed a door down from him for the semester Carlton was at Lock haven.
  7. Haselrig has to be on there, I may slot gwiz in as well top 2 seems locked.
  8. Franklin is a good recruiter and figured head, an absolutely terrible in game coach. I wonder how this affects him moving forward if he's endangering players.
  9. I have been on record that Harutyunyan is my pick however, after seeing the ranking series entries and seeing that he went 61 I wonder about the weight cut which is the case for everyone at the weight aside from spencer in terms of the top guys. I am hopeful that gives him the slight edge I feel he needs.
  10. I completely forgot ride started at 133 and not 141 I just remembered their match at big10's
  11. Im going to need to see silva step on the mat at 57kg to believe hes wrestling it he was 141 his first year for michigan and while he looked good against suriano that was at 61.
  12. I had very high hopes for Ben Alanis coming out of high school but he has not seemed to pan out which I find a bit surprising especially considering he is sandwiched between possibly their two best guys.
  13. I would personally rather see Parker vs Carter at 184 or 197 if Parker would happen to go up.
  14. they are wrestling on June 15th I believe for beat the streets. There is some speculation that the only reason that match is happening is because Alirez knows hes going 149. I think if you want that match to happen at NCAA's you hope Jesse loses this freestyle one.
  15. Henderson at 70 Hidlay at 86 Parris at 125 and then Amine, cruz, gomez, joey silva by way of the nations they rep
  16. he lost to masoumi 11-6 in the fall but the Parr's that wrestled Zillmer was a level I have never seen from him so excited for the rematch I think age + parris improving he gets by geno now and possible rather easily.
  17. https://www.flowrestling.org/articles/12591377-2024-budapest-ranking-series-entry-list most interesting things to me I think we have a wrestle off situation with Uzbekistan with bekzod and zhamolov Yazdani,Amine,Hidlay,Ishiguro at 86 Masoumi,Geno,Parris,Meshvildishvili,Abdellmotileb 125 Haji,Moose, tevanyan, gomez,Jalolov 65 unfortunately haryutunyan is up at 61 but 57 still has Higuchi, Rezzade and aman sheerwat
  18. very true, Im now sure if I am sold on Herrera but Bartelt seems like a stud.
  19. Abakarov seems to be optimal at 61kg, I think he may have won worlds last year had he been there. He beat Vito about 6 weeks before worlds and had the refs not been terrible in the finals against abasghadzi Vito would have essentially dominated that entire field. Harutyunyan and micic are probably my two biggest worries for Spencer although Im not sure how long Stevan can continue to make that weight effectively.
  20. I'd like to see them keep Meza down at 125 I think he could potentially NQ as a true freshman. I'm just not a huge fan of terukina and it does not sound like he works very hard.
  21. I think truly his style is better suited at a heavier weight where guys are not as twitchy and slick. Pace seems to be a bigger factor the heavier you go as well.
  22. Fix was just wrestling in college at a time where 133 probably had 3 of the best guys at the weight ever in RBY,Suriano,Vito.
  23. ill watch after work, what differentiates this from bjj or submission grappling, I have not heard of it.
  24. Pretty exciting times for ISU potentially 3 more years out of paniro and casey if he chooses to red shirt 4 years for tate nakt 3 years of Chittum, and 2 years for echemendia and 3 for both frost brothers. With christian castillo coming in for the class of 2025 as well as Carlos Stanton jr. They just need to fill 197 and heavy.
