  1. This is the internet. How dare you engage in civil discourse and provide transparency of an inability to determine a hypothetical from nearly 60 years ago. For shame! You do it like this: Seven days a week and twice on Sunday. Maybe three times. He was transcendent.
  2. Simons for sure. 4x NAIA (4x OW)/3x NCAA (2x OW), 2x olympian including once during enrollment. So I get to pick only 4? Well then Uetake, Hodge, and Simons are occupying three of those spots on this hypothetical Mt. Rushmore.
  3. I prefer gardening knee pads with velcro straps. That way after I get taken down and crawl out out of bounds to put my hand on the floor outside the mat I can maximize my regrouping time. Tie one shoe, then the other. Pull up my each of my socks. Pull up my knee pads then adjust the velcro. That's an easy 60 seconds of lung time. If I'm still tired then I stay on the mat and wave to the trainer to start the injury clock + bring me a sip of water.
  4. I don’t really ever remember anyone calling Trenge dirty or acting like a heel except when he got his eyes poked?
  5. Ahh yes the IOC, known bastion of morality in the corrupt world of global sports.
  6. NFL minimum rookie salary is $750k so it would have to be a heck of an NIL deal
  7. He's a nose tackle. He's not cutting down to 285 unless he doesn't feel there is NFL potential so he is going to give wrestling a last hurrah. But this is awesome 1) for the Nebraska room 2) for his sizzle reel because "trains with one of the top wrestling teams in the country in the offseason" is buzzworthy. Coaches love to spout "wrestling teaches footwork and leverage and the media eats it up. 3) for the sport of wrestling by getting our name out there
  8. The delta of talent at other conferences tends to sort itself out on the mat throughout the season. This would mathematically open more spots for individuals outside of B1G which grows opportunities for our sport from a team growth model which theoretically increases fanbase and viewership. Diversity = Inclusion essentially. I mean, I’m trying my darndest here! While the B1G is the premiere conference, this model would intentionally devalue its athletes and only a handful per weight would qualify for this hypothetical last chance. More SIU-E and Kent State 3rd place at conference, less Michigan 9th at B1Gs.
  9. That’s why I specifically chose RPI as the selection criteria of the 16 person last chance tourney. Because B1G tends to beat up on itself, it artificially dampens those in the middle of the pack most years at most weight classes.
  10. All non-B1G conferences would love to have more pre-allocated spots via removal of at-large. It’s better for their brands and gives the little guy more shine.
  11. I selfishly wish Elor would have bumped up to take on Adeline. I know it would be a tall task since she is rumored to not cut and weight classes exist for a reason. But like I said, I’m selfish. She is on a legend trajectory and taking on another legend would be the bee’s knees
  12. He can't get past Steveson or Parris and Kerk and Hendrickson have firmly inserted themselves into the conversation. Might as well take a shot at giving the horsepower potential at 97. Cass would have been a multi-time NCAA champ, maybe even make a world team if he didn't wrestle during the heavyweight renaissance and he will never get the flowers he deserves.
  13. Thems the breaks. There is no perfect solution but at least this would remove the MFF will he/won't he.
  14. This system would actually allocate more conference spots by giving 30 spots then three at-large bids up for grabs at last chance.
  15. My idea takes care of that. Too injured to wrestle last chance then you are too injured for NCAAs. Thems the breaks.
  16. Does Cass have an actual weigh-in on Track from last season? I know he has transformed his body significantly but even if he was down to 240 last year then 213 is a brutal cut and if we are being honest it’s not like he has much experience with all that comes with cutting both pre and post weigh-in physically and mentally. The irony of Cass shrinking himself and Warner finally eating for the first time in six years is top tier.
  17. I like the idea but concerned it will punish the legit injuries. I would like to see a last chance tourney the weekend between conference and NCAAs. If you MFF out of conference even if you make B1G finals then you must go to last chance. Sixteen man bracket based off RPI. Full wrestlebacks and top three get bids.
  18. The only “derogatory” thing I will say about Cox is that he may very well be on the other end of an upstart 2016 J’Den Cox ilk but that’s only because whenever a changing of the guard occurs that it tends to be so swift and brutal that no one saw it coming. Ya know, kind of like 97 worlds a few months ago
  19. Yeah, it's because he can't take ostarine anymore.
  20. Uncle John is petitioning to bring back 118 and he intends for Fix to make the cut if he wants to keep his spot in the lineup
  21. Correct throw is the most trash move ever. Didn’t hit your move? Don’t worry no problem you can have a couple points or at least just start over. Doesn’t matter about defense. Garbage. It’s the one time where folk is superior to free.
