I think he would lose to him the first 3 times and hologram Carl would coach SVN to victory the final 7 with the gap growing each time.
  2. There's only two kinds of people: those who watch X videos and those who lie about it
  3. Top 3 would be Crookham (Vito and Fix), Keckeisen (the field), and O'Toole (toughest bracket by a country mile).

Those are two quality wins already in the bag because both will be at least top 10 seeds. If he beats Rathjen that's a likely top 12 seed win. At B1Gs he will have more opportunities to add to quality wins. Say he wins out and finishes 2nd at B1Gs to Lovett - I can't see a world where he isn't a top 4 seed even without RPI.
  5. KOT isn't even guaranteed to make the finals much less win the whole thing. Don't forget that even though he won when it mattered most, he dropped two matches to Carr last year including getting pinned at Big 12s. Anyone who has Carr above KOT has a very sound argument to do so. It's not like this is a weak bracket like 125 this year or 197 the past couple years, at 165 these are two elite level NCAA *champions and three age-group world champions. Someone's going down Friday night and someone's going down Saturday night, and we might see the results flipped a month later at OTT.
  6. I prefer participation medals because they usually come in fun colors and I can wear them at the grocery store to show everyone else that I did a thing.
  7. I didn't say that but go off king
  8. Definitely possible. Maybe Carl thought this was a dual and we all know how he feels about duals...
  9. Both are doing a good job and should stay, even if one is a raging mega boner with super little man syndrome.
  10. But if Eggum should be canned because he isn't bringing in good recruits + Bono is not bringing in recruits that would otherwise not grow into anything = Bono isn't missing out
  11. Olympic greyshirts duh. It's like you don't even keep up with the Ivy schools.
  12. But I keep reading on here that Minnesota is terrible and Eggum needs to be fired yesterday. Quite the conundrum it sounds like.
  13. We already know Johnny D is going to win no matter what. He was submitted as the initial entrant by USA Wrestling at 65kg to the Pan Ams OG even though Nick Lee is the incumbent world team member. UWW even has his photo on their tweet announcing the tournament. The fix is in!!
  14. Sorry, only 14 years between AAs. I think that is worse than MSU
  15. Bono isn't well-liked in many circles but it's not like he is doing a terrible job on the recruiting scene. Now to steal your lunch and eat it in front of you: PSU gets whoever they want. That's just the way the world works and there is nothing any of us can do about it. They're Thanos and they are inevitable. That's why Messenbrink transferred there and Dake moved there and they win everything all the freaking time. Missouri literally created the Askren pipeline and preaches our now-commonplace legpass style that a long time ago used to be called "junky funk" and put each other on the map. Askren could have been born in any state and you're having this same argument about "XX State University isn't landing in-state AWA recruits". Breaking up a very fruitful 20 year relationship is a very difficult thing to do unless you're a divorce attorney. Minnesota got Hopke because there isn't a better room for heavyweights. He has big aspirations so why would he choose anywhere but the best opportunity for himself?
  16. It beats the alternative of trying to cut all the way down to 74? Zahid came in under for 86 and wayyy under for 92 so he probably thinks he could pull it off as well. Of course the real solution is 10 weights at the olympics but that's not happening for 2024.
  17. Just saw Anthony Valencia has beefed up to 86kg for the Pan Ams OG qualifier the week after Pan Ams champs. There are four realistic hopefuls in that bracket so he needs to win at least one big match, probably two. Key competition will be Torreblanco and Ramos while Izquierdo and Ceballos are definite threats for one of the two spots.
  18. Sad looked bad but Taz looked badddddd. We may have very well witnessed the introduction of the newest member of the all-timers club. We find out in 6 months and while I will never doubt Snyder for a moment, it feels very much like when Snyder burst onto the world scene like gangbusters in 2015. Oddly enough, I think Cox's style would give Taz a run for his money but I doubt we ever see that match.
  19. The committee will not do the right thing if there is a blemish on someone's record. Refer back to Steveson's freshman year when he obliterated White but still had to face Cassar in the semis for the real national championship match. That is because Cassar dropped a tight very early season loss to White, then beat Steveson at B1Gs. Everyone knew it was a crock and should not have happened on Friday night.
  20. Wisconsin produces AAs regularly. Purdon't just had their first AA in like thirty years in 2023 and should be glad to be considered Tier 4. If anything, they should swap with Northwestern who regularly produces AAs and the occasional champion.
  21. The record books won't look back on this bracket as fondly as deserved. A junior world champ is guaranteed to do no better than third place despite being head and shoulders above the competition. A previous NCAA champion is guaranteed to lose. And these three may repeat this tournament multiple times for the next decade battling for world and olympic team spots.
  22. If an athlete has represented one country on the international stage, the rule is that competitor must wait three years before they can represent another country at the Olympics. However, the three year waiting period can be reduced or eliminated if all the involved National Olympic Committees and the relevant international sporting federation are in agreement. Very rarely do you see an example of the first country which was defected agreeing to a waiver for the athlete to join the second country. https://olympics.com/ioc/faq/competing-and-being-part-of-the-games/can-i-compete-for-another-team-than-my-nationality
  23. 7 million pages about Spencer Lee's knees and yet none of you cowards will talk about how Daton Fix and Taylor Swift should be the _greatest_silver_medalists ever!
  24. Jason Kelce will only appear in Labatt Blue commercials. They owe him $600k according to the internet. And as all Swifties know the internet never lies. Never, ever, ever!
