  1. I'm an Iowa hater but don't you think it's a little unfair to assume Terry hasn't matured or evolved as a coach in the last 20 years?
  2. May I suggest this young man for Terry's associate head coach?
  3. https://www.instagram.com/p/CxF23x-OJDp/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== Wittlake: PSU (commit) => Ok St => Or St
  4. Honestly, it is pretty crazy that Terry Brands, with all of his personal and coaching accolades, can't get a HC job.
  5. According to this: https://iowa.forums.rivals.com/threads/trouble-in-paradise.425634/ Maybe he wants to step out of his brother's shadow?
  6. Even if McHenry ends up starting they would have 2 fewer transfer starters than Iowa
  7. So, were any suspension actually reported for Iowa wrestlers? I think the only source was Pat Mineo...not sure I saw anyone else reporting on the suspensions for the Hawkeye mat warriors.
  8. After Iowa, Oregon State is the 2nd most logical choice. 0% chance he ends up at Penn State. They simply don't need him and he also burned some bridges when he decommitted from PSU.
  9. An Iowa team starting 70% transfers...or 80% if they do get Wittlake...what does that say about the Brands' ability to attract and develop their own talent? Iowa is becoming a team of mercenaries, all for the sake of trying to win another NCAA title.
  10. Travis Wittlake, 4th at NCAAs, has entered the transfer portal. Iowa is targeting him for 174/184. https://iowa.forums.rivals.com/threads/wittlake.425491/ This would make him their 8th transfer starting this year....80% of the Hawkeyes roster is transfers...wild!
  11. In the past I would have suggested Rutgers, but Iowa, despite the gambling suspensions, probably takes the title with 7 out of 10 starters being transfers (Cruz, Teske, Woods, Voinovich, Franek, Swafford, and Caliendo). But I'm wondering if another school might dethrone them for the title of "Transfer U"? My school, Penn State, sports 3 transfer starters (Nagao, Messenbrink, Truax). Note I don't count Kerk as a transfer since he never actually competed in another school's singlet despite previously committing to other schools.
  12. @KCMO2 that's not quite accurate. Iowa fans were claiming Waters was the one who illegally slammed (himself).
  13. Another other good examples? Here is my contribution, as a Penn State fan:
  14. What if they lost another 2? How many starters have to go out before they are no longer the favorites?
  15. 125 - Robbie Howard has chronic shoulder issues. There is a very high chance he does not make it to NCAAs healthy. Replacement Gary Steen / Kurt McHenry both suffer from being undersized for the weight. 157 - Haines supposedly is up for a redshirt too to improve over his runner-up performance last year. Can Messenbrink make 157 to replace him? 174 - Starocci wants to take a Olympic redshirt. Can Josh Barr make this weight? Given Iowa may be without some of its starters due to the gambling suspension I have to say yes. If Gable comes back (as has been rumored) I think this hurts Kerkvliet's chances of finally winning a title though.
