  1. And there will be sunlight. Hunter is trying to circumvent the subpoena. Congress dictates the terms, not the person under subpoena. As noted in the Turley article: House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., quickly disabused Hunter of the point of the subpoena and said that he will indeed appear in a private session before a public hearing. That is precisely what the Democrats have done, including with dozens of witnesses in the January 6th committee. So why is this a problem? Because D's know what they did under similar circumstances with regard to leaks and such and are wary the same will happen here. And they are concerned about what could happen. Too bad. mspart
  2. If this were a dire emergency, the money would be allocated and spent. Obviously this is neither a priority or an emergency. mspart
  3. So will this dog and pony show provide any more real evidence? I guess we shall see. There is plenty of evidence against Hunter. mspart
  4. But fireplace doesn't put out. mspart
  5. Furnace broke, cold in house. mspart
  6. My artistic skills are incredible eh? mspart
  7. I believe he is optimistic that a solution will be found to fossil fuel driven energy use from cars to power plants to home heating and farm machinery. Some other "thing" will provide the energy needed. Perhaps fusion or small fission reactors, or more efficient solar and wind (terrible idea really), or something out of the blue that we haven't considered yet. For instance a power cell that converts H2 to H2O would be the most obvious CO2 friendly thing to do but there is not much push for that. Fusion that converts H2 to He would be really good too, but proof of that pudding is decades and decades away. We have the former, why not use it? They use them to power huge tractors and such. mspart
  8. Plasi makes a good point. He is saying climate change is real, man is making the difference, and just wait, it will all get better. Things will work out. Not to worry. Plasi is not paralyzed by the rhetoric. He is optimistic that a solution will be found. I tend to agree with him on that. But if you listen to the climate alarmists, we must go back to the 1500's to come out of this mess. mspart
  9. Tucker looks appropriately concerned. Who is Bannon? Yeah I know, but why would anyone listen to him now? mspart
  10. I agree the receiver is great, the QB is great. And maybe it was an issue with the defense. But I still do not consider that a game won by Alabama. They should have crushed a 6-5, now 6-6 Auburn. But they call it the Iron Bowl for a reason and Auburn always plays the spoiler and this was at Auburn. Auburn played a heck of a game. mspart
  11. Is that charitable giving if he does it. That would be a lot and IRS may not be happy if it was considered charitable. He best ask for a cut in pay. And a cut in the funds used to steal signals. mspart
  12. So a horse drawn track car is preferable as a tertiary choice. Thinking outside the box. mspart
  13. The climate has always been changing. So yes it is a reality. But at what point would you draw the line at risking what I have already laid out (irrationally I might add) including people's lives? It's not just conveniences that would go away. It would take us back to an agrarian lifestyle where the majority grows food. It's the logical conclusion to the hysteria that I'm talking about. If there is another conclusion, please share. Right now there is no solution for fossil fuel right now. Solar and wind won't do it. Nuclear will, but that will be a sea parting to get that done. And with EVs becoming the way of the future, there will not be enough electricity to run everything. I'm not seeing any other logical conclusion than going back to 1700's. Or, start getting more efficient with the energy that we already have. Like hybrids and LED lights. mspart
  14. That is if we do this in a smart way. Axing petrol before a viable solution is available is not a solution. https://www.cnbc.com/2023/07/01/why-the-ev-boom-could-put-a-major-strain-on-our-power-grid.html https://www.eia.gov/tools/faqs/faq.php?id=427&t=3 We are going to get rid of 60.4% of energy production from Fossil fuels. Around here hydropower is what we rely on mostly but they want to tear the dams down for the salmon. Puget Sound Orcas only eat salmon you know. Yeah right. But again, to appease the CO2 alarmists, going back 250 years ago is the only thing that will do it. mspart
  15. Yeah, but what do the french know. They know fries and how not to say 70% of the letters in their words. mspart
  16. Yes, the PAC 12 championship will be pretty good. WA will have to bring its A game because WA beat the ducks earlier and they will be motivated. I heard on the radio today the ducks are 9 point favorites. It would be good to get WA into the BCS. I'd love that. tOSU does not need to be there IMHO. I have 3 teams, AL, WA, and BYU. So two of them are in the top 8 in the country, not too bad. BYU has not really done anything since 1983-85 with 84 being their championship year. mspart
  17. My vote is for Hybrid. It gets 50+ mpg and you don't have to wait to charge it. The 50+ mpg is incredibly good and lowers CO2 emissions and dollars spent on gas. Win win. EVs are not as good because of charge times, long distance trips, and trucking. Not yet ready for primetime and the market is showing that. Hybrids are eating EVs shorts out there. There is still application fro ICE vehicles for instance big trucks and work vehicles hauling stuff. If Hybrid could enter that market it would be a juggernaut IMO. mspart
  18. And then it goes away. Simple. But if it is useful to most (or enough) people and commercially viable, it will stay in the marketplace of ideas. Again, simple. That's called Free Enterprise. A product with no value disappears or never becomes a thing. mspart
  19. Or the Japanese rolled over Poland? Iowa 18, ISU 14. mspart
  20. Mich beat Ohio State. tOSU is now out of BCS contention. Who bets Iowa beats Michigan in the B1G championship? #18 vs #2? In other news, My team Alabama barely squeaked out a win over Auburn in the Iron Bowl. If not for the hail mary on 4th and 26 goal to go, Auburn would have won that game. Even though they are my team, I won't say they deserved to win. It was a fluke play that scored the last touchdown. I'm happy for the win because Auburn is the worst. But Auburn should have won that game. mspart
  21. So you are rationally afraid of losing those? Or are you rationally optimistic to losing those? I'm not sure what else to interpret from your statement. mspart
