  1. There absolutely is a comparison. As a matter of fact, they are identical situations. Two confused old men.
  2. He meant Macron, not Mitterand. Like when Trump said Haley, but meant Pelosi. We have two senile old men to choose from. Oof.
  3. I like the last answers. Q: "What exactly are you going to be doing in practice to prepare your guys for Rutgers and adjust for (unintelligible)?" A: "Just working on those adjustments. Is that helpful?" Q: "In particular, what kind of adjustments?" A: "Um, just like wrestling stuff. Wrestling sports stuff. Just trying to score some points." It was like he was talking to Pyle.
  4. With Braeden Davis' absolutely dominating, clear victory over the weekend bumping him up a spot to #2 along with a new #1 at 141, PSU looks like they may just pull this one out. Can We Have A Six Way Tie For Second? But before we get to the top of the podium, why can't anyone hang on to the #2 spot? That is not a complaint. I love the volatility in the 2 - 10 range. We are on our SIXTH team expected to finish second this year. The new ruler of the other guys is Oklahoma "34 and Counting (very, very slowly)" State. Oklahoma State succeeds Iowa, who succeeded Missouri, who succeeded Iowa, who succeeded NC State, who succeeded Nebraska, who succeeded Missouri, who succeeded NC State, who succeeded Cornell. The Race For 170 (171.5) PSU projected points are a mere 151.6. But....and this may come as a surprise.... but PSU tends to outperform the average team. +24.7 for the PSU bump. Now we are at 176.3. Ruh Roh, indeed.
  5. I took a stab at translating this into specific weights, but if you do not want to rely on my interpretive skills...
  6. All wrestlers participated in consols starting in 1996.
  7. Starocci wrestled Kemerer. Kerkvliet wrestled Cassioppi. Lee wrestled Eierman. Bravo-Young wrestled DeSanto. Joseph wrestled Marinelli.
  8. Oops. Oklahoma, not Oklahoma State. Those three losses in 65-66 were part of a four match losing streak where they were outscored 9-120.
  9. Iowa's worst lose to PSU happened twice. First in the 2016-17 season (11-26) and again the following season (13-28).
  10. Depends. For the 1965-66 season there were nine weight classes for duals. That was a rough one for the Hawkeyes. Dave McCuskey's team went a brutal 2-7-2 with 0-32 losses to both Michigan and Minnesota and a 0-39 loss to Oklahoma State. In the ten weight era there have been 2 twenty point losses. A 9-29 loss to Iowa State in the 1972-73 season and the previously mentioned 10-30 loss to Oklahoma State in the 2003-2004 season.
  11. Per Wrestlestat the current number of wrestlers they have ranked in each weight. 125: 254 133: 268 141: 299 149: 322 157: 319 165: 302 174: 290 184: 240 197: 238 285: 262 So 285 is a bit of a catch all, but not too extreme. If it followed the trend it would be around 224 instead of 262.
  12. At the tournament, yes, but not sure if all the duals have the tech.
  13. Diakomihalis said he spent "a rough few hours in the hospital", was released and is starting the healing process. Not sure what that means for his OTT status, but it is obviously in doubt if it was a full on concussion.
  14. JC has a thread for wafflers. This thread is for the bold.
  15. As a single travel date (and assuming PSU does not use their one time exemption) they get to bring 3 extra. Do you think we get all 3 wrestling? If so, who is most likely?
  16. If you give me the 2 or 3 and where/what you think the bonus is I will put it in.
