  1. someone let Bartlett and Moore know this isn't greco
  2. I think Mark Hall was a fan of How I Met Your Mother. At some point in season 1 or 2 someone asks Barney why whenever he is asked about the likelihood of something he always says 83%. I have not checked that timeline vs Hall's quote.
  3. The easier thing to do is adjust PSUs score down this year to account for 3 point scoring. My guess is the 3 pt TD will add about 30-33% to bonus scoring. The 171.5 accounts for changes to placement and bonus rules only. Not whether a bonus is more likely.
  4. No surprise that the #17 seed provided the most "upsets" with six. But the #20 over #13 also happened a bunch (five). #22 over #11 and #21 over #12 happened four times each. #1 thru #6 held serve.
  5. You should read the rules more closely. Criticizing the rules is against the rules.
  6. Feel free to check my math (you really should check my math). The good news? No one got blanked. After round one we have a five way tie at the top of the bottom half: @ionel and @JuanMogen went with identical strategies picking only #17 seeds. So far it is working, but if it keeps working it means you end in a tie. Which is worse than like kissing your sister, it is like kissing each other.
  7. Tinker v. Taylor at 285. Winner get's Soldier. Loser gets Spy?
  8. It is also not receiving the hundreds of millions in dollars from advertisers that Twitter did.
  9. So does Todd Carter get a pigtail win and bonus points at 141? Or no?
  10. Close. Darion Caldwell in 2011 was one of the 1-2 guys. He went W-L-L with the two L's due to injury.
  11. There were also 4 #1's who went 1-2, so if older tournaments also had two Thursday rounds, those guys also lost on Day 1.
  12. @nhs67 promised. I always frick all the time. As for your question, I know there are three #1's who have gone 0-2. Most recently, the aforementioned "He Who Shall Not Be Named" in 2007 and Cornell's Mack Lewnes in 2009. But the pioneer was Pitt's Mike Johnson in 1964 when they only seeded to six.
  13. Keckeisen threw a "Praise the Lord, let's go." in there at the outset.
  14. Try not to hate me too much after this. I was supposed to be on the road today, but the client got COVID (that still happens?) and asked to reschedule. Ummm, YES.
