  1. It has happened already. Most notably in this tournament are Michael Beard, Brody Teske, and Seth Nevills. Before that Jarod Verkleeren transferred to Virginia for two years after four at PSU. There are probably others I am forgetting, and there will certainly be more.
  2. PSU's problem is they have too many top wrestlers, not too few. In addition to getting Van Ness back from injury, they bring Facundo back from ORS. They also have the top rated recruiting class coming in. On top of all of that, they have demonstrated a certain skill with the transfer portal. Embarassment of riches comes to mind.
  3. As a PSU fan, I think Erisman is a great and worthy choice.
  4. I remember an "ah ha" moment when I first began following my nephews in HS wrestling. One nephew was in a semi against a guy who was just cut. I looked at my skinny nephew and thought, he doesn't stand a chance. In the third with my nephew trailing, his coaches challeneged something or other. I thought my brother-in-law was going to blow a gasket. "We get them with conditioning. What are you doing?", he snapped, almost to himself, as he paced. Later he explained how those big muscles need a lot of oxygen. I get it now.
  5. You know I like whiskey, but I can always get my beer while God is being praised. Seems appropriately given how Jesus treats water.
  6. Is LR not going to be in any conference next year?
  7. And 133 may have been over much, much, much sooner. Mercifully.
  8. I agree. Only in neutral. But with continuation. A step out should not stop the action if a TD is imminent. Let the action finish and award the step out if no TD ensues.
  9. Don't you get tired of typing the same thing over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over... Never mind, I am tired of this.
  10. Voting on a deal is step one. A very important step one. This was always going to get approved given where DWACs price was. Now they have to close the deal, and waive portions of the lockup agreement in order for Trump to use his shares as collateral. Then they need to negotiate with a surety company over accepting the shares. After all, we are talking about a meme stock with little meaningful trading history. If you have to liquidate ~$600 million of stock in a hurry, you will not be getting $600 million for it. And that you may have to wait six months to do so will not help the negotiating process. Getting that done by tomorrow is a tall order, but not impossible. Could be a tough weekend for some investment banking analysts, lawyers, partners, etc. I would not be surprised to see Trump's legal team asking for an extension to work on all of that.
  11. Setting records is never bad. And those numbers are mind blowing. I think the 100 point margin of victory is most impressive. But for pure excitement, I prefer 2018. Having the title race come down to a head to head with both the individual and team titles on the line? I still get tingly thinking about it. That it was my first time attending also contributes to the legend for me. Jumping to my feet and thinking "oh no" for a split second before it turned to "oh yes" was awesome. Then watching and rewatching the video ("he's got the chin, he's got the chin") to understand what I just saw has provided years of excitement.
  12. Even Starocci went there in the last minute to protect a slim lead.
  13. No, actually you didn't. You waited until it was almost a done deal to try and take a victory lap. If you have a problem with my work feel free to speak up when there is a chance you may be wrong. "Woohoo, a guy made a prediction that was wrong. Now I got him."
  14. Baseball knows it is boring. That is why it made massive rule changes. Wrestling could use that too.
  15. It is official. @Hwt1 is the one we were promised. And while he denies any blood relation to Hunter Garvin, I imagine he thinks of him as a son after Hunter delivered the Dark Horse title. In the runner up slot @PortaJohn definitely did not crap the bed. Pour one out for our favorite soldier and a near miss. @Gage takes the bronze, but what could have been if Brock had only Maullered some people. @Idaho rounds out the podium positions by also riding that lathered beast known as Hunter Garvin. Thank you to all who participated @JuanMogen @ionel @Winners Circle @lu1979 @Eagle26 @TylerDurden @Truzzcat @lightweight @Jimmy Cinnabon @MNRodent @bnwtwg @Tigerfan @charmon55 @1032004 @Pinnacle @Bigbrog @Scouts Honor @500 wrestler @jmoney @Hart2pay @Go Hokies @CHROMEBIRD @Friendlycamper @cangemi @Ragu @Harpyeagle @Dogbone @flyingcement @Elevator @Gus @MidwestMan @JimmyBT @wrestle87 @Gambatte Same time next year?
  16. @D3UC157 has bad hearing. Brooks said, "It may be boring but its true" and D3 thinks he said Jew. Sooooo bad.
