  1. Then the answer to the expanded question, who won and then transferred?
  2. This is what we have so far. First the answer to the original question, who transferred then won a title?
  3. Where did Pucillo transfer from? I see him using all four years of eligibility at Ohio State.
  4. Jim Wood - 6th in 1972 for Washington, 1st in 1974 for Western Illinois Paul Donahoe - 1st in 2007 at Nebraska, 3rd in 2008 at Nebraska, 2nd in 2009 at Edinboro
  5. I was looking for guys who won then transferred, or vice versa. Neither AA'd never mind won.
  6. Probably. He was class of 91 in HS per Indianamat and MSU lists him as 93-95 on their roster.
  7. There has been a lot of talk about how NIL and/or transfers are bad for non-revenue sports. I am of the laissez-faire school of thought on the topic. But as a measure of "health" I like to look at things like the distribution of honors like titles or All-Americans. Presumably the more schools that have an All-American the better for the sport and its survival. Based on that, this year does not look so bad. NIL started in earnest in the summer of 2021, having its first impact on the 2022 season. The transfer portal was launched in the fall 0f 2018, having its first impact on the 2019 season, but it really began to be felt in the 2021 season. While the general trend in the number of schools is downward (highs used to be in the low 40's, now they are in the low 30's), this year marked the joint highest number of schools with an AA since 2016. For the health of the sport, it would be good to see that number consistently above 35 with occasional spike to 40. However, that may be tough with around 80 participating schools. When 40 was more the norm there were between 100 and 150ish participating schools. Looking at the AAs as a percentage of participating schools tells a similar story, I think. It would be good to see that number up around 50% (~40 schools).
  8. Of the six wrestlers who could accept a semi-final berth at the OTT due to medaling at the 2023 Worlds in a non-Olympic weight, five chose to descend, and one chose to go up a weight class: Jacarra Winchester, a 2023 World silver medalist at 55 kg, has specified she will compete at 53 kg. Jennifer Page, a 2023 World bronze medalist at 59 kg, has specified she will compete at 62 kg. Macey Kilty, a 2023 World silver medalist at 65 kg, has specified she will compete at 62 kg. Vitali Arujau, a 2023 World champion at 61 kg, has specified he will compete at 57 kg. Zain Retherford, a 2023 World champion at 70 kg, has specified he will compete at 65 kg. Zahid Valencia, a 2023 World bronze medalist at 92 kg, has specified he will compete at 86 kg. https://www.themat.com/news/2024/april/01/13-accept-u-s-olympic-team-trials-finals-berths-while-six-accept-berths-in-challenge-tournament-semifinals
  9. Without even considering the date I laughed when I read "sources close to Reattack".
  10. Not sure how you concluded I think that. The problem is with your conclusion, not with what I think.
  11. And possibly (?) circumvent campaign finance laws?
  12. And yet, if you think Trump wins the election, you should buy DJT. It certainly does not trade based on any sophisticated fundamental analysis of the business designed to project future cash flows and discount them to the present. It is a Trump sentiment and popularity indicator, and if he wins the election it will definitely trade higher. Why would you want to miss out on that? And if you want Trump to win the election, you should also buy DJT. DJT is a way to give money to Trump. Any and all Trump supporters should be on board with that. A lot of people want to be associated with Trump, and a lot of people want to make him richer, with DJT you can do both in one neat package. And it went on sale today. Think of the price slide as a discount. The future just went on sale today at 20% off. If you liked the stock at 2,000x revenue, you will love it at 1,600x. Be sure to post your receipts here.
  13. Yeah, it is pretty wild that two years in a row a four timer only comes in third in the Hodge voting. But given the criteria, it makes sense. The other thing that is wild to me is that in four years each, eight years combined, Diakomihalis and Starocci received a TOTAL of 27 first place votes (16 for Starocci and 11 for Diakomihalis) which would not be enough to even sniff first place in a single year.* *In 2016 Dieringer won with 27 votes, but there were also 14 fewer total votes that year (-23.7%).
  14. As any good thread does, this one has taken on a life of its own. Now we have lists in both directions. I am here for all of it.
  15. So who bought shares of DJT? Based on Friday's close the company was worth ~$8 billion and had a revenue multiple of a mere 2,070.4x The good news is the multiple is down to 1,637x today after reporting larger than expected losses that included their auditors saying their finances "raise substantial doubt about it ability to continue as a going concern." (a concern that was likely solved in the near term by the $300 million in cash injected as part of the merger). To illustrate what a bargain the stock is, Reddit just went public at a multiple of 9.8x. Meta trades at 9.2x, Pintrest at 7.7x, Snap at 4.1x, and ByteDance at 1.9x. Now if Twitter can just go public at 2,000x Elon Musk might own the entire world.
  16. Final vote totals: Brooks: 53 first place votes (48 committee votes + 5 fan votes) Keckeisen: 8 first place votes Starocci: 2 first place votes Kerkvliet: 1 first place vote Tough year. Starocci finishes as a four timer and still winds up a distant third in the Hodge vote. Oof.

  18. I have read many people say Starocci put his knee in that position, but when I watched the match it looked like Arnold took Starocci's foot across his body with his hand before rolling into the knee. I am not saying it was intentional, just that it did not look like Starocci put himself in that position. However, I cannot any video, so there is that.
  19. Brent Metcalf, Steve Mocco, and Mark Schultz, too.
  20. Does anyone have a list of transfers who went on to win an NCAA title? Off the top of my head I can think of TJ Jaworsky, Seth Gross, Bubba Jenkins, Greg Kerkvliet, Max Dean, Nick Suriano. Who am I forgetting?
  21. Are you sure that is all Jenkins and Suriano did? Just outplaced?
  22. You are being a tad selective with your list of achievements.
