  1. That is an odd take. He has exactly the resume after beating #6 and then #1.
  2. That is certainly possible. However, it seems self defeating for WWE to pull a publicity stunt and then bury him in house shows thereby effectively wasting the stunt. On the other hand, the weird thing where they streamed his "announcement" seems to exactly fitting that mold.
  3. Love me some ill tempered ungulates.
  4. If you are not understanding it correctly, then neither am I. I had the same thought about seeding.
  5. The part I still do not get is qualifying for the world team and then not going. The theory is that WWE stopped him, which explains the not going part, but fails to explain the qualifying part. To then be dropped down to the deepest backwaters of non-televised, non-recorded, almost non-existent WWE is just confounding. And I get that these are all outcome based judgements. He certainly would not have expected this outcome when he made his decision. But given the outcome, I have to wonder if he regrets his decision. Qualifying for the world championships might suggest the answer is yes.
  6. I included Retherford's one year at 141 in the totals. But if you give 141 credit for what Retherford did at 149, then 149 becomes weaker than 133. And if you use the same logic for Molinaro, 149 becomes weaker than 125. I do not factor Gilman in because if there was any growth it happened post-collegiately which makes it real hard to compare baby face Gilman to the current version.
  7. I am having a hard time reading this, my glasses are broken....oops, I have said too much.
  8. Now back to the original point. Isn't 133 the exact same under Sanderson as 141?
  9. Under Sanderson PSU has the same number of AA's (4) who have earned the same number of AA spots (7) and the same number of titles (2) with the same number of 4x AAs (1) at 133 and 141. Now we are up to 4 numbers. I can keep going.
  10. Sure, keep going. You sure about the highlighted? Besides, its a pretty important number. Like it is the point of the exercise, the reason they hold the tournament, to find that just one number.
  11. Does anyone know: 1. When the Pan Am Olympic Games Qualifier challenges need to be in by, 2. When the challenge tournament would be? 3. And in the case of multiple challengers, will the tournament among challengers be the same day as the best of three against the 2023 World Team Member?
  12. I have Diakomihalis fifth best 4xer behind Sanderson, Steiber, Dake, and Smith if only college careers are considered.
  13. Doesn't Penn State have the same number of titles at 133 as 141?
  14. I think we can safely say it will not be Texas A&M to next add wrestling. After firing Jimbo Fisher and triggering a $76+ million buyout (with no offsets if he gets another job. Huh?) and probably having to pay assistant coaches to leave and pay new coaches to come in, it will likely cost the school north of $100 million to fire a coach slightly above .500 (19-15 overall, 10-13 against the SEC, 12-14 against Power 5) since signing this very reasonable, and totally worth it, contract. But, let's face it, the real problem with college athletics is athletes transferring, collecting NIL payments, and betting on women's college basketball.
  15. I am equal parts worried and at peace. Worried that you knew my wife's favorite lyric in her favorite song. But at peace since you clearly do not know me and my glow in the dark pasty Irish ass.
  16. That dude never had an era. Ask my kids.
  17. I really enjoyed the claiming an era that was never claimed to be an era era is over. Edit: Doh, then I read that antitroll actually did say that. My apologies, Gus. But I will leave it out there rather than delete.
  18. I do not think so. There was nothing I could find in the Olympic RS criteria that suggests an athlete must not be enrolled.
  19. Yep. I still hope he goes the entire season without getting or giving a TD while finishing with a winning record and qualifying for the NCAA tournament. In a year where TDs have been granted 50% more points, it would be a true demonstration of dominance.
  20. Good point. Against D1 competition he has gone 3 straight without a TD, but is still 2-1 in that stretch as he has also not allowed a TD. Can he keep it up for the entire season? God, I hope so.
