  1. Are you sure you heard that right? Just before Pac-12s Figs mentioned getting through rehab or something similar, but he was talking specifically about injuries.
  2. We need a version of the UWW's transfer compensation rule
  3. Northwestern would've been happy to have him, plus he'd be close to home
  4. Clips of the spladle went viral on social media, mostly ppl laughing or wondering wtf was happening. I guess that's one way to #GrowTheSport among casual fans Respect to Hardy for being a good sport about it. I hope he and his asscheeks get an NIL deal out of this
  5. Hamiti was lighting guys up as a true freshman and walked into the postseason with a 91% bonus rate and just one loss
  6. Unpopular opinion: Hamiti is fine and doesn't need to transfer. His wrestling has looked a lot better this year. He was destroying just about everyone and went into the postseason with only 1 loss (Carr) and an 84% bonus rate. We all expected Hamiti to AA, but he had a tough draw in arguably the toughest weight and finished with losses to the national champion (Carr x2), the runner-up (MM), and Olejnik. No shame there. I don't think Bono or the program has failed Hamiti.
  7. Brands having a finalist every year since he's been head coach.... ... Brands having zero wrestlers win their finals matches this past weekend (has that ever happened before? @Wrestleknownothing @cowcards)
  8. Plot twist: Ben stays at AWA and Max coaches at Wisconsin
  9. His name was mentioned during NCAAs at one of the ESPN broadcasts, someone said he's still training at Michigan/CK. He's qualified for trials but idk if anyone has said which weight he plans to go at
  10. "Season's over! We just won the championship! Time to hit the buffe--bible study!!"
  11. Interestingly, David Taylor missed out on a World team because J'Den Cox was barely able to stand and DT hesitated to attack. Said in hindsight that he should've kept wrestling.
  12. Caliendo seems fine at 165 and could be a bigger threat at the weight next year with some work in the offseason. I like Siebrecht at 157 and think it makes for a stronger lineup.
  13. Right. Once Iowa starts slipping behind ISU, Brands will really be on the hot seat. I'm not saying that Iowa's behind ISU right now. But things got very uncomfortable for Zalesky when he finished behind ISU at nationals and dropped a couple of Cy-Hawks. It wasn't the cause of his firing but it did add a lot of fuel to the fire.
  14. I thought IMar said earlier that he wasn't done, but I didn't know about his shoulder. That's tough. Also tough to catch shade from Cormier about your weight.
  15. Do you think Nagao could get squeezed out of the lineup? I expect Davis to fill out in the offseason and have no idea if 133 is a hard cut for Nagao. He looks pretty big for the weight.
  16. I thought he wanted to focus more on his club rather coach at the collegiate level. I haven't been following the Bono thread though
  17. Is 165 a tough cut for KOT? Mostly I'm wondering if he'll end up in tweener territory down the road in freestyle.
  18. My guess is that DT's probably on the same wavelength as Askren where he can make good money and do interesting work outside of the restrictions of the NCAA and NIL. He also be a package deal with Jimmy Kennedy.
  19. I forgot about Facundo. Was he with the team in KC? I saw SVN momentarily on the ESPN broadcast. Transfer portal? PSU's next Mason Manville?
  20. Unknown, because there was no media deal inked when they left. The current offer on the table was around $25mil per year per school but the Pac schools (except USC and UCLA who already bolted) thought they could do better.
