    ESPN pays the NCAA to broadcast Nationals. They have a contract for exclusive media rights of the D1 wrestling tournament. I can't recall if the wrestling deal is bundled with the broadcast rights for other NCAA sports. BIG+ and Pac12 Network money goes to the conferecnces. Flo money probably goes to Flo, idk.

    Thanks all, I will look into the bundle deal. I am just annoyed because I already pay for ESPN on TV and the ESPN3 coverage was free. Plus this would be another streaming subscription to add to our list. The added revenue ESPN+ pulls in doesn't go to NCAA Wrestling, I don't think. Can't tell if ESPN+ would mean more money for the sport in the future, or if ESPN wants to squeeze every last penny out of wrestling fans before moving on. Doesn't the NCAA Tournament deal expire at the end of next season?

    Well, that sucks. I have ESPN but it looks like I will need to pay for an ESPN+ subscription to see any of the matches before the finals. Thanks for the info.

    Is it true that ESPN won't be airing all mats of the NCAA Tournament on ESPN3 anymore? I heard that whatever is not shown on the main ESPN channel will only be available to ESPN+ subscribers.

    IIRC Fix got the stall call for holding ankles past the 5 count and the action was stopped because it looked like it would have ended in a stalemate. Teske later held ankles past 5 but the referee let the action continue because he was almost out for the escape. I remember one the officials called for the riding time clock to be stopped after Teske's stall warning.

    Carl said earlier this week that it was the wrestler's choice if they wanted to compete this week. The conference dual season is over. Clarion was just some "fun" before the Big Ten tournament.

    With the current Bad Knee Lee, Fix grinds out the 1st period then throws in boots and that'll be all she wrote. But give me a healthy Lee over Fix any day. Teske hung with Fix for 6 minutes until he got caught out of position in a stupid scramble.

    First two periods, Carr scrambled through to late takedowns and I'm thinking "KOT won't let that happen next time" but then seeing him ride O'Toole in the third? Incredible. Carr totally owned the match. It will be interesting to see what kind of adjustments KOT makes but I must admit Carr has the advantage going into the Big 12 tournament. That could be the last time they meet up this year. I expect the bracket at Nationals to be a wreck.

    Because it would be good great for the sport and USC and UCLA will be able to support mens and womens wrestling under their new Big Ten media contract.

    I can agree with this. Overall lots of good offense from Okie State. Highlight of the night imo was Plott catching Picklo in an air bow and arrow during a scramble. Lowlight was the bad decision making by Sheets in the 3rd period. He should have won that match.

    How many D1 teams would exist if we killed off every program that wasn't successful? Wrestling is about more than what goes in the W-L column. Those kids at Bakersfield are going out and competing, maybe even enjoying it despite what you think, bettering themselves as humans while getting an education. Lay off of Bakersfield, bro.

    How does that 125 bracket compare to the year Metcalf won it with Schlatter, Burroughs, Caldwell, O'Connor, Churella forget who else but I remember it being pretty loaded?

    Or they could work it like soccer: Run a timer while the refs are looking at the replay and the action is stopped. Add that extra time to the end of the period.
