  1. I think its like a lot of conspiracy theories: its definitely possible, but also definitely not plausible
  2. On my whatsapp group among my friends, this conversation seems to take place almost every year. Person A, conspiracy theorist: posts videos and articles showing the possibility of inside job Person B (a west point graduate, army ranger, with two purple hearts earned through two different tours in Afghanistan): It would take a lot of coordination and cover up over various decades to pull this off and none of this was evident in any of my dealings with those in Afghanistan or the upper echelons of our own military our our allies
  3. Attasauov Possibly Biscoglia Brit Wilson from last year Austin Gomez
  4. I don't believe any written book would be immune to humans desire to change the message as they were putting ideas to paper. Considering the number of translations as well as the points at which different books were considered to be included by committees of the Vatican, there have been plenty of opportunities for people to intervene and change original stories. The human memory also doesn't work perfectly and these stories were told by mouth for many decades before being written down. And I'm only talking New Testament here obviously with Old Testament being what I believe is obviously allegorical in many places.
  5. Understood. I don't believe that to be the case (an existence of a Heaven and Hell in the Biblical sense), but of course I don't know for sure.
  6. Also Flo has three Columbia guys added to the portal as grad transfers, but are still on this year's roster. I am not quite sure, but I'm guessing these guys are doing like Jacob Cardenas and this will not be in effect until the following year after which they will have exhausted their Ivy athletic eligibility. Nick Babin Josh Ogunsanya Lennox Wolak
  7. I don't even eat meat or cheese anymore, but that looks damn good
  8. @WrestlingRastathats a mean grill brother
  9. Grew up Catholic in a devout family - had always looked forward to and hoped for a form of afterlife. I certainly feel less confident that there will be one, but I am hopeful. It won't change how I live one way or another personally. Would you mind clarifying a bit more about what you mean by salvation specifically? I guess I don't think people inherently require saving.
  10. thought the original video was funny. thanks for sharing!
  11. Looks to me like he should pay up plus inflation over the period
  12. Sounds like a major lapse in communication here from the school. What are we to believe has taken place? If the coaches are innocent of the accusations then say so. To quietly reinstate but to make no comment makes me think that there was a shade of grey in terms of what actually happened here, and the institution does not know how to articulate it.
  13. I will conduct a full analysis this evening and will let you know my final opinion
  14. Happy to see him return home and give a boost to the Hoosiers - a likeable team as it was
  15. His younger bro is one of yours right? Would be fun to see them face off
  16. I think it means that he is not going to be wrestling this year and wanted to preserve the possibility of wrestling after his fourth Ivy year when he still has NCAA eligibility.
  17. Josh Stillings has transfered from Drexel to the Citadel
  18. Manzona Bryant who had announced a transfer to Northern Colorado - has been removed from the UNC wrestlestat roster and replaced in the starting lineup by fellow transfer Adam Busiello
  19. Wrestlestat updated list: 125: Cooper Flynn (Virginia Tech) 133: Henry Porter (Indiana) / Max Leete (American) 141: Emilio Ysaguirre (Arizona State) / Carter Young (Oklahoma State) / Joey Olivieri (Rutgers) / Sean Logue (Lock Haven) 149: Colin Realbuto (Northern Iowa) 157: Cesar Alvan (Columbia) 165: Matty Singleton (NC State) / Hunter Mays (Lehigh) 174: Logan Messer (George Mason) 184: Deanthony Parker (Oklahoma) 197: Isaac Trumble (NC State) / Braxton Amos (Wisconsin) HWT: None
  20. I think from a competitive standpoint it makes sense and the ACC with only six teams could use some new blood. I was thinking from geographic and expense angle a bit more cynically.
  21. Can't imagine that this is a good thing for wrestling. At least the ACC schools have large pools of wealthy donors, but as for the programs themselves? As far as I know, Duke does not offer 9.9 scholarships. And they're going to be flying the whole team back and forth to Stanford for duals every year? Are travel expenses worth considering or is it just a drop in the bucket for their budget?
  22. if I had to guess pissed off by the way they dealt with COVID. from what we heard, they decided to enforce contact tracing in a stricter way than other Ivys even did among students, faculty, and staff. maybe prior to that he was starting to wonder about a new challenge which would be reasonable. add to that, the fact that he must have known his reputation would help momentarily stabilize a program that had already been announced as gone. I can see how it would make some sense and all the sudden its Silicon Valley culture shock
