  1. I think there is probably a middle ground that made more sense in reality. Dropping 18 spots while remaining undefeated is odd. Dropping some other moderate amount can be explained away by the Ventresca/Brown response which is fair to me.
  2. Absolutely- not for him- but for his wrestler
  3. I think he spends plenty of time evaluating those wrestlers, but not in a way on which he would be emphasizing where they stand in an objective historically based ranking
  4. As a lower profile school that is overlooked even in the best of times, I'd argue the coach is benefiting the team by being more vocal and visible. Again, I thought the discourse between he and Kozak was completely above board.
  5. I mean fair point on the last sentence. We all do with full time jobs. But what is our lens? To be entertained and to predict the winners. The lens of a coach is - how do I prepare my wrestler for that guy. And so I feel it is less likely to view in an objective way because why would he?
  6. There are only a handful of ranking services and after Intermat, Flo is the most commonly cited I tend to see. As others mentioned, coaches probably don't feel the need to delve into the nuances between Austin Murphy and Sal Perrine, its easy to defer to the public rankings.
  7. To me this is par for the course for him. He has poor quality of character.
  8. I would bet a years salary on Minnow in that fight
  9. I felt the coach and Kozak were in line. Pyles inserting himself was unnecessary and he comes across as his usual self (i.e. not good)
  10. I wondered that. He's not alone. Mickey O'Malley Prince Philip Conigliaro Lance Runyon Colton Schultz Wyatt Hendrickson (hurt)
  11. And now heavyweights can do it
  12. Yeah there are a couple tournaments where American is sending partial lineup but doesn't say who (perhaps just backups) so it may be that his toughest matchups before conferences are Tucker Owen's (Air Force) and Ethan Berginc (Army).
  13. On the other end of the spectrum, Johnni DiJuliius has defeated two national champs (Brewer and Clark), while he himself never placed.
  14. Lovett is pretty good. Swiderski's brother is on the team, but not as good as Casey. Munson, Cramer are decent but probably overmatched against Indiana.
  15. Cory Clark with FIVE : Nashon Garrett, Nathan Tomasello, Jesse Delgado, Nico Megaludis, Cody Brewer
  16. I still think Carr will finish higher than both (wouldn't be shocked if he didn't). but to your point, these should be reflective of past results rather than predictive.
  17. Darian Cruz also has three: Nashon Garrett, Nico Megaludis, Nick Suriano,
  18. https://www.wvmat.com/phpforum/viewforum.php?f=7&sid=b3a1d2e1fd3f8c66bd78a215f19009b1 this is where you can find Bratke
  19. For me I considered him as a duck for CKLV which would be equivalent to two and out.
  20. If you disregard the allstar match, you could potentially have Noto as first. Otherwise, I'd have Provo or Caleb Smith
  21. Congrats Tigers fans! I hope this opens up a new pipeline from Lehigh Valley to Columbia
  22. Maybe an extra year of eligibility? Lol
