  1. Hoosiers need their first three wrestlers to avoid being bonused - and then a couple upsets at 149 and 165 - and it could make it an interesting dual

  3. And perhaps double the GDP of the greater Lock Haven area
  4. Michigan would also make sense from a lineup standpoint and I'm sure they have a decent urban planning program
  5. He hasn't found great success so far in college but Kyle Dutton is another top recruit for them. He was a junior national freestyle champion in 2022 at 145 lbs
  6. I was just commenting on urban planning schools but agreed on what you said
  7. Illinois, Rutgers, North Carolina, Minnesota, Cal Poly
  8. You could be right but Glazier has some stingy defense and excellent size and strength for the weight which will help slow Brooks down. I think Brooks wins by seven points and walks off frustrated he couldn't get the major
  9. Article seems to come out on a Friday - they have a just in time inventory process going for articles
  10. I would only put Keuter out there if he is gunning for it. If there is even the slightest bit of hesitation on his side, then he's not ready. He would most definitely be annihilated by the guy who in my opinion has made himself a favorite for Hodge. If you think something like that could discourage a young kid who is already proficient at a more popular and profitable sport, it could make you second guess.
  11. the duck in the picture above is Beau Bartlett protecting his Big Ten seed
  12. The cat is you my friend! ionel is an an anagram for Lion-E. Here is the training manual passed on to me through several generations: 1) wait for someone that works at intermat to post the article that says viewing guide for the coming weekend 2) copy it 3) paste it now we all have our strengths and weaknesses, so I'm interested to see how you fare. @MPhillips is a good copier but a poor paster, and I was the other way around. It looks like you might actually be good at both, but bad at that waiting part. Let's cut a deal - we'll do the waiting - you do the copying and pasting
  13. In some cases - if an Ivy program cared a lot about a sport, they could green light someone's admissions if they otherwise would not have a chance
  14. great list - but to me, a redshirt freshman is just a sophomore who would stoop to the level of loopholes. So the true freshman shown above (and not the ones who have done various gap years and gray shirts) are the ones that impress me.
  15. You may be right - and yet in spite of that - a conservative clean cut school like Notre Dame or Boston College do not have an active D1 program. And Brown does. So for all the hippies out there - there's got to be a couple wrestlers. Askren always had a bit of a hippy vibe to me.
  16. Providence is a really cool city in my opinion. My brother went to Providence College and I would visit him when I was living in Boston.
  17. That's a valid question. If they can increase the profile of the program, they can at least attract some more Ivy level students who either have lots of money or are eligible for financial aid (for which ivy league schools are mostly generous I have heard). It may not be a major boost, but maybe closing the gap a little with Harvard could be a start.
  18. I know there are restrictions, but I assumed - perhaps wrongly - that they would be part of the recruitment process as assistant coaches. Whether they can be effective recruiters? I'm not so sure, but at the least, Kemerer could tap into his area back in western PA, and any connections he made in Iowa - and Murin the same but for Central PA instead of Western.
  19. In addition to Max Murin who is on the staff already, it looks like they are also adding Michael Kemerer. Two PA guys who wrestled for Iowa will now be coaching at Brown. Good for them. Wonder how it will impact Brown in terms of recruiting.
  20. It shows a good sense of humor I agree.
  21. If it makes you feel any better I had to drop AP calculus in high school because it was too difficult but my younger brother by two years remained in the class
