  1. I've seen a pathetically low number of college duals live. Seen Lehigh in a dual in the 90s and when my high school team went to Virginia Duals, we watched the college guys when we could. Only college wrestling rooms I've been in were TCNJ, Lehigh, and Navy, the latter of which was a campus visit when I was a HS junior (I would have been a room guy at best)
  2. I went to camps held by Jack Cuvo and Bobby Weaver. Both were excellent in different ways. I do remember Bobby Weavers clinic helped me to really grow my wrestling. Clinics were Monday nights at parkland high school (walking distance from where I lived). He would start each clinic by saying "who lost or had trouble over the weekend with a certain move or position." And he would walk through how to counter that. He would always say "ever move has a counter and every counter had a counter"
  3. When you're a kid in the lehigh Valley, you don't even realize how good Easton would be because they have three youth programs all feeding in: Easton PAL (police athletic league), Forks Township, and Palmer Township.
  4. Haha wow didn't know it was done by Seth. Ciasullis were a good wrestling family. His father started RedHawk wrestling club
  5. I like vinegar in general but understand if that's not your thing
  6. It is one of America's most highly regarded academic institutions and its located in a state that loves wrestling. They have a great chance to recover from these graduations
  7. Philippines did this with Andray Blatche for basketball. He had no connections to the country whatsoever. They sought to nationalize him for use on their national basketball team because he was never going to be good enough to make team USA
  8. What's the deal are they going to have a team this year or will it be some future year? Their website seemed to indicate they recently hired Alonzo Allen as assistant coach and are expected to compete this year. I'm not sure if they have any wrestlers yet though.
  9. Regarding the fan vote, some of my friends who are not wrestling fans decided to watch this year's NCAA finals. Both guys thought: 1) Nino Bonaccorsi was super likeable 2) 133 was the most entertaining and impressive wrestling to them as amateurs (the quickness and craftiness)
  10. Max Leete - who was the kicker for his high school football team
  11. That's my guess as an outsider but I don't blame him for not wanting to jinx it
  12. Dellavecchia crab ride on Deakin is the one I remember most
  13. Folkstyle Lee - he had a higher peak than many will ever dream off. But the full body of his work contained a number of blemishes which would detract from his overall ranking. And then there is the unfortunate reality: "Last impressions are lasting impressions"
  14. well at least it sounds like you guys are prime considerations for both Yara and Griffith
  15. I'm a Lehigh Valley homer and since Ungar finished his high school at Notre Dame Green Pond, I'm rooting for him :) Good trivia question and I'm not sure of the answer - who else has ever won a state title in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania (other than Ungar)
  16. And then Fix and Wittlake out and Carter Young and Brayden Thompson in for 2025. Sounds like a good plan
  17. 125: Mastrogiovanni (unless moving onto zoo life) 133: Fix (unless ORS or HEW) / Young 141: Young / Alvarez 149: Alvarez / Voinovich 157: Voinovich / Mastrogiovanni (see comment for 125) / Cutter Sheets 165: Ummm 174: Plott 184: Wittlake / Haas 197: Surber 285: Carroll / Doucet
  18. Do you have any feeling on whether Fix will come back for another? Seems he would be eligible for an ORS but that might extend his folkstyle career a bit too long for the sake of his knees
