  1. BS. I said that people say "Fix ducked Crooham," but I disagreed. However, if Fix ducked, them Vito ducked Orine 2x. I have seen on social media that Orine is overseeded. Meanwhile, I am not sure the masses realize that Vito had the chance to beat Kai twice. Hopefully Vito heals up in a week. Is it possible that he skips NCAA and focuses on OTT?
  2. This is a discussion board, correct? I have no doubt that Vito is injured. I am responding to the people who think he should be seeded over Orine, who are some of the same people who think Crookham should be seeded over Fix. Because "Ducks." If Fix ducked, so did Vito. Twice. Perhaps he beats Orine. Good for Vito if he does. He probably does. However, Vito is not exempt from discussion because he is hurt.
  3. Based on his performance last year, coupled with expectations and the "PSU bump," it seems as if Nagao has choked himself quite a bit. This could all change next weekend, but whatever happens, a bunch of people named Aaron will remind us that its "all part of God's plan."
  4. Thanks for the input. Carter was chosen to make the trip and made it sound like it was his call. Perhaps his core temperature was slightly elevated? As we were reminded in Michigan vs. tOSU, the NCAA limits the number of individuals who travel. Now Carter's seeding Matrix is suffering. Never fear, though! A guy who has wrestled exactly 38 matches over the last two years has now volunteered to wrestle all 32 other competitors one at a time next weekend!
  5. A lot of Daton Fix haters are bringing up the 'fact' that he ducked Crooham in the dual and was rewarded with the #1 seed for it. Many have suggeted that because the Lehigh Mountain Hawk towed the line that day, that he should have been the top seed. Let it be known that Daton is my least favorite World Team member since PD3, but I do not believe that he was specifically ducking Crooham. John Smith generally seems to put his best lineup on the mat, if healthy. Fix was also going through a period where we were told he was hurt and he missed a number of dates. Many of the same people who whine about the Fix duck whine about "1x national qualifier" Kai Orine being given the 3rd seed, while "returning national champ" Vito is the 6th. Do these people realize that Vito had two chances to wrestle Orine and did not toe the line in either match? CKLV and the dual (which I predicted months ahead of time.) Vito may indeed beat Orine next weekend, but don't complain about his seed vs. Orine's. He had his opportunities. How about Carter? He made the trip to Michigan and did not wrestle Griffith. Carter said he was plagued by something and was being smart whereas in the past, he probably would have wrestled the bout. Some people yelled "duck" but others talked about Carter's second bout of flu this season. Notably, he looked a bit "off" when he returned to action, so this is possible. I do not think Carter fears Griffith whatsoever, and would have been a big favorite, especially given how Shane looked that night. Still, limited team members are allowed to make road trips, and he was on that trip. He couldn't have been sick, because he was healthy enough to associate with teammates. This is not bashing Carter, but it certainly would have helped his need if he toed the line with the Sugared one that night. Any other similar situation out there that relate to this year's seeds?
  6. I saw a thread about "Fix inflation" and thought it was another argument to put Crooham at #1!
  7. So that prevents opponents from attacking? Or perhaps they are less committed to attacks?
  8. It's almost like his opponents are mesmerized by him and become offensively complacent. Perhaps they are mesmerized by his beard and/or overall caveman appearance.
  9. I assume Pat Pop knows him well enough from Oklahoma State to believe in him as a coach. Also, its not like the Tarheels were tearing it up under Coleman. Maybe Scott is more suited to an assistant role? Or maybe he's found a place where he fits in better?
  10. Five? You gave FOUR. He did not major true freshman Welsh. It was razor thin. How do you call a 4-2 win a major? Crazy.
  11. AGain, I said "until recently." And you got involved in an exchange where I was responding to someone who absurdly claimed an injured Carter was going to rip his way through nationals like Bo Bassett did to piaa lol Carter is great, but until recently, he is far from a prolific scorer. He is no David Taylor.
  12. ummm floarena? one minute? So do you still think Carter will meet or exceed pin, pin, tech, tech?
  13. Ok, so the whole context was arguing earlier in the post between posters about Lee being a quitter, Starocci being a quitter, etc. Wrestle87, an Iowa hater, came to Lee's defense and mentioned other guys that get a pass for forfeiting. I added Kerk to the list as another. You can feel however you want, I'm just trying to see if people are consistent. It sounds as if you are.
  14. OK... so do you think Lee quit on his team? Starocci? Kerk sure gets hurt a lot! In fact PSU seems to be injured more and more these days...
  15. So you think he's going to go pin, pin, tech, tech like Bassett?
  16. * Perhaps you noticed the part about "being better lately?" But now that you mention: that dec over true freshman Welsh isn't bonus points either. Nor is Kennedy a top 10 seed. The Lewis match didn't count. Do you think he will bonus Lewis next week? Because what I read in the post that I responded to was that he was going to bonus guys like Bo Bassett did at PA states. Bassett went pin, pin, tech, tech. You really think Carter is going to do that?
  17. I borrowed it from another poster. I like it.
  18. Unfortunately, Fix is pretty savvy in upper body positions. I would love to see my last favorite world team member since PD3 get stuck.
  19. He's been better lately, but since when has Stall Rocky been a bonus point machine (against top 10 type opponents)? And now with suspect conditioning and a bum knee, he is supposed to clobber everyone? I can see him winning the tournament, but unlikely bonusing his way though.
  20. Didn't Kerk quit the year before?
  21. Yes. Also the same Ramirez who ducked Carr. He may score a few, but will not be able to keep up with MM for seven minutes. He will wilt. Wilt. Wrestling MM is just a bit more taxing on the lungs than those guys.
  22. Not to mention, Stall Rocky's conditioning didn't look spectacular prior to the injury. I would be quite surprised if the injury improved his wind.
  23. A guy I knew pretty well was a finalist, was tested, and had used a banned substance and was worried about test results. He never heard his results, so we assume he did not pop. This was quite a ways back.
