  1. Yep, I know section 11. The best! I'm section II, same as the Popolizios.
  2. Lets be honest, Shapiro's headgear (nor any headgear), can ward off a concussion.
  3. That Ramirez? The one who beat a bunch of people, but also ducked Carr and falls apart at nationals? The one that was a threat to Mesenbrink?
  4. Based on yesterday, I'm thinking Vito looks to be a strong favorite over Orine. Ramirez - Caliendo? Ramirez seems to be the favorite, but not prohibitively so.
  5. It's stayed off. But about to warm up for a 12 miler to get me ready for the quarters.
  6. 150 lb above average college wrestler to 243 lb bad powerlifter to 170 lb bad marathoner
  7. Didn't he and the Focus family get into it in the handshake line?
  8. Would this apply only to Ayala, or would Davis be included in the rule as well?
  9. As former fat guy (who was 90+ lbs over his college weight), many of us have no problem joking on other fatties. Not really irony, more of a fraternity.
  10. Also wanted two unsportsmanlike in OT for Cornell trying to game a locked hands.
  11. Fernandez trying to hand touch the mat to force a locked hands? Not good or smart.
  12. I fell into the Pit... State placer at 215/220 btw. Randy Couture has an amazing story about young Mr. Pratt.
  13. My thoughts: Gilman's best days at 57 seem to be behind him: - openly talked about how he lets his weight get much higher now than he did at HWC, and feels that was a reason for improvement - Has talked about going up weights - Has registered for tournaments at 61 kg (did he show up to any of them) - Rarely makes 57 anymore. Has made it once in the last 19 months and has lost his last three matches there. - Looked diminished at 23 WTT - Did not challenge Richards for the spot - Trashed Yianni on the twitter machine - Has a newborn, that allegedly has hurt preparation As for Spencer's prospects, I'm not sure if he is our "best' threat to medal, but gassing worries me a bit less against international competition for freestyle. Granted Micic, Mongolia, and Japan prob have pretty good tanks. I'd be a bit concerned about both Vito and Fix being anywhere near full strength at 57, and extremely concerned about Vito's health. I'd like to see Lee do well, but I'm happy with whomever wins trials as long as they qualify the weight and medal. Except maybe Fix.
  14. Lewan wrestles most of his matches as if he is in his 60s.
  15. I'm in my 50s and could maybe pass for younger than him.
  16. This may be nothing compared with NLWC probably hiding the extent of DTs knee injury from Bo Nickal prior to WTT! (That is the speculation if I remember)
  17. Not to mention seeds and unseeded wrestlers positions in the brackets were manipulated by him/his staff.
  18. Didn't Elmhurst's coach upset the #1 seed at nationals, himself ... once upon a time?
