  1. Good wrestler, but his strategy seems to be to suck down to an unsafe weight, beat inferior wrestlers after weigh ins and be large enough at night to use his size to beat better competitors. Had interesting, unpredictable matches with Vito, whom was also a weight cutting machine. Not a huge fan of his or the way he has been managed. If Spencer Lee has two torn ACLs and is on a "pitch count," he is "ducking" when he doesn't take the mat against Glory. This included a match where it was clear that Iowa had no intention of using Lee. Glory also missed that very same match, missing weight against an Iowa backup whom he struggled with in the past. Take a look at Glory's struggles this year, including all the recent "ducking" he has been doing at 125. Pretty clear that he and Princeton have been abusing the weight certification system.
  2. Sounds like the bird flu may have hit the Nits.
  3. Heard an interview with Dad, who actually sounded fairly reasonable for the short duration of the interview. He said that decades ago, the extended family (dozens of members) all moved at once from New York to TX.
  4. In his defense it was the first time that he has worn one in competition, and for the entire second period it was lodged firmly into Swiderski's hips as he tried to become the first person to ever escape by holding his own hand.
  5. You mean, like when so many fans clutched their pearls when Marinelli would release an opponent and then kick at their feet in an attempt to footsweep them? Yet no one seemed to have a problem when Jason Nolf did the same thing.
  6. Did Cael choose the wrong guy? Or does Lehigh have a superior staff?
  7. I'm not involved in the argument at all, but it is some what unnerving to see a person whom is likely a grown man that you have never met repeatedly called "boy." Makes me cringe.
  8. Some of Cael's "paid haters" don't think so, and are making a big deal out of it.
  9. Maybe not a great rule, but under the rule that exists, a correct call for a very anti-climatic 2.
  10. Cael lets a potential future gold medalist wrestle with no ACL? Horrors!
  11. I don't think Chittum, Nick Lee, Spencer Lee, the Ferraris, Yianni, etc. qualify for a lot of need based aid either. Wrestling seems to have an increased number of athletes whose parents seem to do well financially. This gives them the ability to afford more opportunities including access to plenty of great coaching and travel to distant tournaments and camps.
  12. Nelson Brands was not mentioned as a probable vs. Penn. Minnow said he was out for the year. Wrestled vs. Penn.
  13. Ok. Thanks. So no Keystone, but it looks like he beat Bearclaw 2-1 at Black Knight. Does anyone know where Bearcat Open results are to be found? It looks like young Mr. Haynes may have lost a match there to a redshirt freshman from Northern Colorado with the moniker of "Vince Zerban." Mr. Zerban is currently ranked #46 by WrestleStat but it is a small sample size with a somewhat flawed algorithm. I will say that it appears as if Coach Nickerson is on the right track out in the Rocky Mountains.
  14. I just saw a 2-1 over the immortal Bearclaw and Black Knight. I'll keep searching.
  15. Who has been anointed the starter and where did the match take place?
  16. How's Levi doing BTW? Is he the immediate championship threat that Mum promised? If so, he could be worth some big points in March!
