    It's a pretty bold statement.. They went to the same HS. Megaludis knew how good Lee was and tried to recruit him to PSU. Mega lost to Joey Dance who had a similar style to Lee but wasn't as good.

    What bugs me about the takedown is when one wrestler is out of bounds a TD is called more often than if they were in the middle of the mat. In the middle they have continuous motion and the positions are wrestled through. At the edge they have constraints like the table, edge of the mat etc. It's completely subjective.

    Medicine Man did some of his best work on the Hendricks/Churella match. Referee Gary Kessel really screwed the pooch on this one.

    Amine lost to Facundo. Facundo also beat him a couple times in HS. I'm sure Starocci is sceered.

    They have had some good ones coming out of Easton including 2x NCAA Champs Jack Cuvo and Jordan Oliver and Olympic champ Bobby Weaver. I think Larry Holmes is from Easton too.

    The tournament was in Philadelphia and we were about 10 rows up. So i remembered it pretty vividly. He was much more physically mature the following years. His standing cradle was amazing.

    Ruth didn't get pinned he injury defaulted against Amuchastegui after the second period. But he wrestled back and got third. They wrestled the following year in the NCAA final and Ruth won 13-2.

    I agree with that. He should have wrestled back, but who knows how a person will react in the same situation. Under a microscope.

    Spencer showed up for the medal ceremony, and got his picture on the podium and had a photo shaking Ramos hand. Gotta give him props for that.

    Penn State still had a really good tournament. They wrestled at or above seed in 7 of 9 weights. With RBY and Facundo below seed.
