  1. Because PSU continues to win. and the non PSU fans need an argument point. I could be wrong but I seem to remember Brands, Kohl, Ryan and John Smith were in opposition as well. Why change a format that's been in place for 95 years.
  2. You have to be going back prior to Sanderson to get those numbers. Caels first year in 2010 PSU was 13-6 and lost to Iowa, OK State, OK, Lehigh, tOSU. Minnesota and tied Pitt. I think you mean to say prior to 2012 PSU had a losing record against those teams. Because in 2012 PSU was 14-1 and won a national title. 2011 PSU was 17-1-1 and won a National Title. Nice attempt at skewing the numbers to fit your weak argument.
  3. It wasn't about points on the backside. It was a discussion that started about 10 years ago to decide whether there would be a seperate dual tournament to decide the real team national championship. There were opposing coaches on both sides, A couple of Caels's main arguments were that ito change it it could negatively impact attendance at NCAA's and could affect smaller schools with less budget. "In 2012, when there was a strong push around the nation to have the team title determined by a tournament of duals rather than an accumulation individuals’ performance at the NCAA Championships, Sanderson publicly voiced his opposition multiple times." He provided 48 seperate points in opposition.
  4. I think it's obvious she was talking about his ankle pick.
  5. Wasn't Cael arguing against the change in the championship structure?
  6. He's huge, I remember him as a skinny lightweight 126ish Jr year in HS.
  7. Rebuilding year PSU only had 4 champs that year.
  8. I understand, Penn State has been triggering you for a decade.
  9. Molinaro looks like Spider Monkey Hulk.
  10. That poor 98lber is probably home cryimg in his Bud Light.
  11. Lock Haven is getting their moneys worth as well. Being a small school, Moore consistantly beginning to put out AA's
  12. what i read is that's Tom's Salary. Terry was in the 250 range as of 2021 and Morningstar 110ish.
  13. Brands' new contract, obtained by the Des Moines Register, is a 7-year deal that begins July 1, 2022, and runs through June 30, 2029. ... It jumps every year thereafter: $625,000 for the '23-24 season. $700,000 for '24-25. $725,000 for '25-26. $750,000 for '26-27. $775,000 for '27-28. $800,000 for '28-29.
  14. You can't compare Gable and Sanderson as to who is superior coach, they are both transcendent figures in the sport. If they were contemporaries you could do it. But they are both amazing coaches. Both got/get the best out of their wrestlers. Why does Cael have to "say very much" ? Penn State's results speak for themselves. Also, Caels wrestlers have mad respect for him. Listen to Bo or Q Wright or Max Dean who this year who said " Cael is a leader of men when our country really needs people like that" Cael and Gable are the class of our sport. Gable said his HS coach would say "You win with Humility and Lose with Dignity, but just don't lose damn it." I think he owned that. People who don't like Cael are upset about his success. All he does is win and he does it with humility. You can't find a negative sound bite from the guy. Any negative about Cael gets come from his detractors. Also, Cael has built teams and he also put together his amazing coaching staff. People may not know who Casey Cunningham is if Cael hadn't made him part of his team.
  15. Ed Ruth had already signed to wrestle for former PSU coach Troy Sunderland.
  16. Talking about fantasy matchups. I'd like to see Chris Taylor vs Tab Thacker.
  17. It was Bo on Twitter. Pulling an April Fools joke.
