  1. While I think Guttridge will be given a fair shake and a proper shot at being the starter, I wouldn't be surprised to see Lautt getting some time up there. Shaw has the length to succeed but doesn't have any horse to use at 285... perhaps with an offseason might he turn in to a serviceable HWT for a season. Lautt on the other hand? He is stronk. If Guttridge struggles during the season I wouldn't be surprised to see him head up for a dual or three... or more.
  2. Greetings All... let's discuss: #10 Oregon State WT - Rank Name - Class, 22/23 Record, Result(Notes) 125 - #17 Brandon Kaylor - SR, 22W-9L, 1W-2L @ NCAA 133 - #21 Gabe Wisenhunt - FR, 9W-5L, Redshirt (1-1 in duals) 141 - #16 Cleveland Belton - JR, 18W-10L, 0W-2L @ NCAA 149 - #84 Noah Tolentino - FR, 12W-7L, Redshirt (0-2 in duals) 157 - #44 Isaiah Crosby - SR, 8W-8L, 3W-1L @ P12s 165 - #8 Matthew Olguin - JR, 24W-8L, 1W-2L @ NCAAs 174 - #10 Travis Wittlake - SR, 20W-7L, 1W-2L @ NCAAs (OSU/184) 184 - #2 Trey Munoz - JR, 27W-3L, 3W-1L @ NCAAs (6th, Semi-slide/MedDef) 197 - #119 Brett Mower - JR, 26W-2L, 2023 NJCAA(JuCo) Champion (18W-0L @ 197, 8W-2L @ 184??) 285 - #26 Boone McDermott - SR, 17W-7L, 0W-2L @ NCAAs #31 North Carolina WT - Rank Name - Class, 22/23 Record, Result(Notes) 125 - #35 Spencer Moore - SO, 8W-3L, Redshirt (13W-16L as starter in 2021-22) 133 - #76 Jace Palmer - JR, 12W-14L, 0W-2L @ ACCs 141 - #5 Lachlan McNeil - SO, 27W-9L, 5W-2L @ NCAAs (4th) 149 - #40 Jayden Scott - FR, 14W-6L, Redshirt (2W-3L in duals) 157 - #71 Sonny Santiago - SO, 9W-1L, Redshirt (9W-12L as starter in 2021-22 @ 165) 165 - #51 Nick Fea - FR, 4W-5L, Redshirt (2W-3L in duals) 174 - #124 Cade Tenold - FR, 12W-13L, Redshirt (0W-3L in duals) 184 - #11 Gavin Kane - JR, 25W-9L, 4W-3L @ NCAAs (8th) 197 - #32 Max Shaw - JR, 16W-12L, 2W-2L @ NCAAs 285 - #44 Aydin Guttridge - JR, 13W-7L, Nonstarter (2W-2L in duals) https://www.wrestlestat.com/compare/perma/664/north-carolina-vs-oregon-state This has Oregon State really laying the beat down in what is mostly a non-competitive looking 30-3 dual. That said, a total of 33 team points are scored, which means only three (3) bonus points. It also has Belton over McNeil, which is possible - I just don't think it is likely at this stage in their careers. It has the first five (5) weights being tight decisions in which I think they are all pretty close to being toss-ups, with the exception of 125 and 141 being more favored matchups to one side or the other. I have OSUw favored at 125, 165, 174, 184, and 285 with UNC favored at 141 and 197. 133, 149, and 157 are toss-ups (to me). If UNC can get those swing matches and considering that Moore at 125 and Kane at 184 are very real threats to win... they can win this one. I am going to say Koll has some matchup rub off and they get two of those early toss-ups... with Kaylor squeaking by Moore... which gives them a 3-2 match edge heading in to intermission (9 - 6 in favor of UNC). I think OSUw gets bonus (Majors) at 165 and 174 to get a controlling 14-9 lead and then Kane pulls the upset on Munoz to make it 14-12. Shaw gets a very tight decision on JuCo National Champ Mower (he is going to surprise some people). 15-14 in favor of UNC going in to 285... in which Boone pulls out a tight decision... very tight. Prediction: Oregon State over North Carolina 17-15
  3. Well I missed that. Even so, sue me. I would appreciate seeing yours, mate.
  4. Rivera is dropping from 149 to 141 and Hanna isn't listed on the roster - per the official roster list.
  5. Man. I thought I was stoopid. Less stoopid than some.
  6. I think so, too. I will probably do a few more and might even have something speshul up my (our?) sleeve for one.
  7. Yeah seems a bit odd. If you have seen them then you also know that the numbers that were used weren't only from WC but were from every UWW event in that time span that put on WFS, MFS, and MGR.
  8. Aside for the twelve or thirteen instances Desanto went Desanto, the Brands really were able to contain his emotional outbreaks.
  9. Why are you exaggerating? A total of negative three people are surprised.
  10. Greetings All, Quickly put this together. All 'Ratings' are via Wrestlestat and are just that - RATINGS. I didn't use Wrestlestat's lineup as some of those guys aren't even listed on their rosters and are listed at different weights than on Wrestlestat... That said... here you go. #22 Campbell WT - Rank Name - Class, 22/23 Record, Result(Notes) 125 - #50 Anthony Molton - JR, 13W-9L, 1W-2L @ SOCON 133 - #16 Domenic Zaccone - JR, 21W-7L, 1W-2L @ NCAA 141 - #38(149) Chris Rivera - JR, 11W-13L, 3W-1L @ SOCON (@149) 149 - #65 Justin Rivera - JR, 0W-0L, (11W-1L during RS @ 149/2021-22) 157 - #147 Hagen Heistand - FR, 12W-7L, Redshirt 165 - #54(157) Troy Nation - SR, 14W-7L, 3W-1L @ SOCON 174 - #31 Austin Murphy - SR, 0W-0L, (2W-1L @ SOCON 2021-22, R12 2020-21) 184 - #23 Caleb Hopkins - SR, 19W-10L, 0W-2L @ NCAA 197 - #16 Levi Hopkins - SR, 25W-10L, 1W-2L @ NCAA 285 - #13 Taye Ghadiali - SR, 27W-5L, 1W-2L @ NCAA #24 Army WT - Rank Name - Class, 22/23 Record, Result(Notes) 125 - #28 Ethan Berginc - SO, 27W-8L, 0W-2L @ NCAA 133 - #58 Ryan Franco - SO, 22W-11L, N/A (1W-3L in duals) 141 - #62 Richard Treanor - JR, 14W-15L, 1W-2L @ EIWA 149 - #28 Trae McDaniel - SO, 32W-11L, 4W-2L @ EIWA 157 - #36 Nathan Lukez - SR, 20W-14L, 0W-2L @ NCAAs 165 - #42 Dalton Harkins - JR, 18W-14L, 3W-3L @ EIWA 174 - #15 Ben Pasiuk - SR, 23W-7L, 1W-2L @ NCAA 184 - #94 Cole Karpinski - SO, 5W-7L, N/A (No dual starts) 197 - #103(184) Daniel Lawrence - SR, 12W-13L, 2W-3L @ EIWA 285 - #70 Austin Kohlofer - SO, 10W-8L, 2L-3L @ EIWA https://www.wrestlestat.com/compare/perma/663/campbell-vs-army-west-point I think this is favoring Army a bit unfairly in a few weights. I do think Zaccone at 133 and Rivera at 141 should be favored, despite the Wrestlestat algorythm favoring the other gent. On the other end of the spectrum I don't see Murphy beating Pasiuk at 174. I do think the Alaskan brothers Caleb and Levi Hopkins can push for bonus and that might be the separation that is needed for this. Add in the Ghadiali is one of my sleepers for AA at 285 and that he might push for bonus (deckfall anyone?) and I do think Campbell ends up taking this one. I will say one of the Hopkins gets the bonus, as does Pasiak. That puts it at 16-13 heading into the HWT match and Ghadiali gets the fall. Prediction: Campbell over Army 19-16
  11. Can you make my skin more dark? I am far too white there (meaning I am not white at all). Also, love it!
  12. The actual numbers prove it. We've been through this several times over the last decade. I haven't looked at this year's Worlds, however a year or three ago someone took all the numbers that were traceable from the prior entire cycle (or two?) and Greco had the most overall participants every year.
  13. So they were lobbied in for Worlds then removed again? So Dake gets the Gold now?
  14. Sold! Keep it the way it is, then. My thinking has always been to combine the weights to be the same and then change our collegiate weight classes to mirror those of the International styles. That way we can get more in to Greco. That said, I see what you're saying now. 55, 57, 60, 61, 63, 65, 67, 70, 72, 74, 77, 79, 82, 86, 87, 92, 97, 97, 125, 130 Wouldn't this then make more sense from a 'Tweener' standpoint? I do wish it would scale up linearly for each style... which means I am now whinging... 55, 57, 59, 61, 63, 65, 67, 69, 71, 74, 77, 80, 83, 86, 89, 92, 95, 98, 125, 130 Meaning: 55 - 57 59 - 61 63 - 65 67 - 69 71 - 74 77 - 80 83 - 86 89 - 92 96 - 100 125 - 130 Pick left for FS or GR and right for the other.
  15. Can you focus on the first part of that post? I want to know why it makes more sense to have different weights.
  16. I would love to be educated on this. Please explain. Whinging literally means 'bitching to bitch' so well done there. Also, you selectively picked what you picked to whing - by definition. That is what you did. It's there for everyone to see.
  17. We haven't seen a Schultzy with a focus on anything other than Greco since he has gotten in college. I won't write him off because of that. Especially with the successes he has had in Folkstyle while focusing on Greco as well. Many things he does will translate over well and could help his Folkstyle a bit, too. I won't pick him nor do I actually think we see him leave Greco for Freestyle... I just think he would absolutely be a factor. He is probably the physically strongest Ox we have on our circuit right now.
  18. I actually apologized for saying this in a prior post. I still think it would be cool... but even so... we heard your peace. I agreed with you on it, in the end - as it were. It is because there is a Men's and Women's Freestyle and only a Men's Greco. They aren't going to add Women's Greco. Why don't you quite the entire post rather than select what you want to piss and moan about. When you do that all you are doing is whinging. Bitching to bitch.
  19. Their press release completely dogs on McGregoat and looks unprofessional AF. Like a shunned side piece that can't get a piece anymore so she just wants to dog on the prettier lady-friend.
  20. You have never beat the coach to the practice room and it shows. Many snow-ball fights happened.
