  1. I believe he stayed for a full year and redshirted
  2. Levesseur did attend U of Minnesota at first. But sounds like we agree. There are certainly guys that can compete in D1 that might not have gotten recruited so choose to go D2/D3 instead. But 4x champs from decent states are going to have been recruited by D1 schools, unless they have off the mat issues.
  3. If that were true, my point is that’s very rare. Is it true though? If Wells redshirted then Nagao would only have 2 years left
  4. I said I used the qualifier that you don’t usually see 4x state champs from decent wrestling states (of which I’d include Minnesota) go D2 or D3 right out of HS. Did a very brief search and can’t seem to find the list of names, but I believe it’s a single digit list for Minnesota. Have any of them gone D2 or D3 out of HS?
  5. No I mean didn’t he go to high school in Minnesota?
  6. That’s why I added “from decent wrestling states.” Isn’t Wells from Minnesota?
  7. Yeah I would think now would not be the right time.
  8. But he was a 4x state champ right? Not too many 4x champs especially from decent wrestling states that go D2 or D3 right out of HS, although some go later
  9. They do count for seeding, so yes they matter. But I don’t understand why they won’t just use one of the services or at least aggregate them. I may be misremembering, but wasn’t there something last year where a coach left RBY off the rankings even though he was eligible?
  10. Flo goes Stanich, Ramos, Davis as 1, 2 and 3 in latest rankings. Don’t believe Intermat has updated yet
  11. Triple header was a success? Kinda surprised Iowa/Purdue got more than PSU/Michigan
  12. Guzman got teched by Jacob Moran and Max Gallagher at Midlands. I know he was mentioned elsewhere but Joziah Fry has some decent wins (and also teched the aforementioned Guzman), but still has losses to guys like Spencer Moore so would probably be a longshot to AA. I think there are probably 1 or 2 guys in all of D1 and D2 that might AA. Which is still impressive.
  13. Yeah all those reviews in the Lemley/Moore match were crazy. Were all the later ones “official’s reviews” since I thought Rutgers had lost their challenge brick earlier
  14. Yup. No Smith against Purdue today though…
  15. Clock looked to be at zero before he got his head out to me but not sure if the clocks were synced. My question is why didn’t Saldate take neutral in the tiebreaker after riding out Haines?
  16. They were pretty clearly college students likely not getting paid at all…
  17. Do we see Burwikk enter the portal again?
  18. So Michigan didn’t duck Turley today either?
  19. Cael must read the forum to know that now Friday doesn’t count as a duck
  20. Bormet ducked Turley on behalf of Griffith
  21. Not sure about any of this, I do believe there was a rule (maybe in the 90’s?) that you needed to have earned nearfall to earn 5 points for a tech
  22. That was always true by being able to be pinned though
  23. Disagree. A major is supposed to show dominance. IMO you shouldn’t be able to be simultaneously one takedown away from a major but also one move away from losing (outside a pin of course where you are always one move away from losing).
  24. Yes this is an example of Cael ducking on behalf of Rasheed, not the ASU match
