  1. 125- Figs 133- Yas 141- Vasquez 149- Parco 157- Teemer 165- Transfer 174- Valencia 184- Montalvo 197- Transfer/Meissner/Schunke HWT- Schultz Im intrigued by both Meissner and Schunke getting a shot at 197. I don’t think Teemer moves to 165 this year, but if he did, Larkin would be my pick at 157
  2. Norfleet had a very hard time getting a waiver this season. I think him wrestling Pac-12 eliminated him from having the possibility of a waiver.
  3. 1. Parco is not big enough for 157 and Teemer isn’t too big for 157. No reason to move two guys that are almost locks for top 4 seed. Antoniak transferring out might lead you to believe Teemer is staying at 157. 2. For sure the team is much better is Yas moves down to 133. I think he can make that cut. He wrestled last summer freestyle at 61kg. 3. If they are going for the top of the team podium, they will need a transfer. Internally, Meissner and Schunke are there.
  4. Maybe Griffith wants to be remembered fur something bigger that bringing back Stanford wrestling. Comes to ASU and brings that championship trophy back west for the first time in what, 35 years.
  5. He wrestles freestyle at 97kg. So maybe it is a weight issue of not wanting to go then to 197 and not being big enough for Hwt.
  6. Wonder who will take one next season? Many of these guys I would imagine also have the Covid year. That’s a lot of years in college. For ASU, I think it’s only Schultz, Figs and Teemer that qualify.
  7. Coming into the year, I thought it was a one year stop for him. Now after the season, I hope it was.
  8. Larkin will be coming in as a freshman, not coming back. Ruiz is probably the 165 answer in another year. Fagan is capable of keeping you in a dual, possibly. But he isnt the answer at 197.
  9. It was mentioned earlier. Not my original thought.
  10. ASU was in the final 4 for Facundo. Fits in at 165 if does indeed transfer. They need a 197 too
  11. I agree with this lineup, especially with Yas going to 133. Hopefully Montalvo comes back healthy. Only Larkin and Ruiz coming in next year. Maybe they can get a 165 and 197 in the portal. Griffith fits great for that 1 year bridge. Figs was not happy how this year played out. I think it’s something to keep an eye on.
  12. Didn’t hear that. Thanks. He’s still in the portal.
  13. The Bosco connection to ASU. He’s been wrestling 86kg. Maybe wrestles 197 next year? Sun Devils are looking for a 197. Need a 165 too. Keep an eye on Figs too. I feel very unsettled at 125 for ASU.
  14. Big hole at 165 again next year for ASU.
  15. ASU crapped on their future for a #10 seed.
  16. They have Larkin coming in next year also. Too much talent on the west coast to only be bringing in one kid from the 2023 class. The TP has been good to them, but it doesn’t seem like a great option for a 1 year fix. Overall, recruiting has been feast or famine. That has contributed to the big holes in the lineup year in and year out. BTW. Oregon State bringing in 10 guys
  17. So let’s put it all together in one post what happened to ASU. 1. Their best 125 did not wrestle. 2. At 141, Yas barely wrestled all year and they expected him to be tournament, win or go home ready. Not enough mat time all year. 3. Wilner and Negron have no heart. Too bad Nummer couldn’t suck down to 165. Heart of a champion. 4. Cael. I can’t tell if he wants to wrestle. Doesn’t look dedicated. 5. Need to see a better version of Taco. 6. Norfleet. Why wrestle 2 matches then Medicsl forfeit. 7. And the most important for last. They miss Pendleton.

  19. Cael did a nice job wrestling back for true second and earning a bid after a disappointing opening round loss. Lone bright spot for ASU.
  20. 3 bouts and you can already see 2 terrible Zeke decisions.
