I believe Jax turned 17 in October/November. I think its crazy to accuse a kid of PED's if he is its all on his parents which is a shame but I think its possible he had just been cutting weight and now hes focused on growing he went from 113-132/138 quickly at the end of last season into the end of the summer but since then hes kinda just been growing into that weight hes definitely undersized still for 65kg.

he has shown at times a real inability to not let guys get in clean on his legs. He seems to make up for that 95% of the time by just always closing space and not letting them get off their offense but that kinda felt like his who's 1 final against zapeda. None the less hes 17 and beat a national champ so incredibly bright future.

he feels very austin gomez esque to me, he does have a cadet silver but that was back in 2017 I believe so im not sure how much weight that holds now. I could see him being very good in chest wrap positions which always makes guys tricky I remember mimtch mckee putting up like 12 points on yianni because of his chest wraps.

Taz looked pretty outstanding at Asians but he scored literally all of his points off kyles attacks at worlds so perhaps he can make some adjustments. He also has to worry about the Iranian that beat him late last year pretty soundly.

interesting I saw among the guys listed that naifanov was also on there which was notable but did not see either of their names. Personally I hope they all can compete I just want the best guys at the olympics but if they are actively supporting the war then they should definitely be reprimanded.

I personally hate when Russia does not have their best team because it takes away from us beating them, and I like to watch the best guys in this case though I feel like Sad is no longer threat 1 at 97 not just from his worlds showing but his rather lackluster Russian nationals' performance.

pyles made a video on this but I think Valencia has a shot at 65 i'm not sure about the others yet. The idea of Knox for forrest beating Nato is hard for me to wrap my head around. Sealey could make the finals but I don't see him getting past Cenzo and I think Sinclair is missing a little offense still to compete at the very highest of levels. Really hoping we get to see Bo vs Valencia and Knox vs Forrest as well.

The last chance qualifier takes place this Sunday and its filled with a ton of elite HS talent. Some of the names include Anthony Knox,Jax Forrest, Joe Sealey, Will Henckel, Aedon sinclair, Cole mirasola, Bo Bassett, Aden Valencia. If we fast forward 4-8 years I would not be shocked at all to see a lot of these names as national champs or potentially world team members.

I hope Scoles can make a jump this offseason I was huge on him in HS if they can maybe snag another transfer for 184 or heavy this is a podium contending team imo.

I don't think Yianni will fall below the 2,3 just looking at large body of work and having the overall h2h with McKenna. Bartlett coming in at the 4,5 will be interesting for lee and a potential Mckenna quarter would be brutal for yianni.

he better hope he does not draw a Valencia/desanto/gross off the scale or if he does he puts them away in the first because their pace could get sketchy for him in the second after that cut.

hes wrestling 86kg for LCG so im guessing 184-197

Hughes 141 - Carter young/Jamison 149 - Jordan Williams 157 - Teague Travis 165 - Hamiti 174 - Thomspon 184 - Plott 197 - Carroll (rumor has it hes trying to get down) 285- Cody Merill I think this team has 10 guys that could AA if it fits out this way obviously hughes,Merill,Carroll are relative unknown's but based on their HS pedigree I think they will be in that conversation/

the AWA pipeline alone may make you a top 2 team at this point. Keck,MM,Keegan will probably score 75 points themselves at nationals next year and possibly be champs at 165,174,184. I think the mirasolas and Sinclair are going to be problems immediately too. That would be super exciting if one of max or ben take a head coaching position simply because of the talent coming out of that club.

in his first season at Minnesota (2021) that he did not wrestle, wrestle stat had him listed as a 141 and then he started the year at 141 during his red shirt season before going down. Being a few years removed from that I would assume the cut is rather difficult which could be a reason for his lackluster year. I'm not sure he has another option to make the lineup besides going 133 though unless they opt to red shirt kasak which could be possible seems like a similar situation to zain after his true freshman year. even at 133 though I don't know that his position is safe if Lilledahl wants to go right away that could bump Davis up to 133 or vice versa.
