  1. I'm very bullish on McCrone in all honesty. I think if you compare his year with Kilkeary it was quite a bit better, and he's improved immensely since being at Ohio state. My hopes are they can get Davino skinny but without jeopardizing his wrestling. Having watched Vinnie a ton in high school I feel like his development got a bit stagnant but I'm sure working with jaggers will help with that. I think they put out a guy that can push to potentially AA no matter what.
  2. I was leaning more towards one of the most dominant wrestlers ever and have a very good shot at making it to the Olympics as well as being a great ambassador for the sport despite having adults criticize him since he was a child. Simply a matter of perspective though.
  3. I know MM is smaller for 165 and Ben had said he sort of hoped he'd go 157, my only concern is will cutting weight hamper that pace that he weaponizes so effectively. Perhaps the cut is insignificant and he'll just be better but I have to assume if Levi was cutting weight so hard and Mitchell could have made 157 they would have just done it this year if nothing else so that Mitchell did not have to potentially wrestle a former teammate and friend. I know thats likely insignificant in the grand scheme of things and if there is no other option, but it seemed like that could have been very easily done at least to start this year.
  4. Even prior to the final sequence that I think was certainly a takedown the ref blew two likely takedowns dead because of cautions. Obviously the event taking place in Azerbaijan and it being a wrestler from that nation makes things even murkier.
  5. I just posted about Dorian olivarez in the mma thread he won NHSCA juniors and earned the 1 spot in the country on matscouts. Hes also qualified for ADCC's essentially the olympics for BJJ so I would not be surprised to see him opt and skip his senior year of HS and not do college and go into mma training if those are his aspirations. The resources kids have now are just unreal.
  6. you mean to tell me this isn't a political movement to provoke the niche hardcore fans of our already niche community?
  7. Young guns original prodigy spencer "no knees" Lee
  8. John opens with a reading from the book of weight cutting is all I know.
  9. Forrest is probably going to OSU hes mentioned OSU,Cornell,PSU,Ohio state but he trains with Daton all the time has close ties with Coleman Scott and also trains with JJ Mccomas a lot and stays with him when he goes to Stillwater. Im sure PSU is an option its PSU but as of right now Id put my money on okie state. Bo on the other hand I'd definitely lean PSU unless he wants to follow in Spencers path? he seems to idolize him a bit.
  10. Shapiro is the biggest wildcard to me. If you look at strictly freestyle he has a cadet and junior gold. If you look at the NCAA season he has to be behind Haines. I'm super curious as to what they do with him.

    Dorian Olivarez

since Folkstyle nats and NHSCA's Olivarez has beaten 2,4,6 (Alex Braun, Logan paradice, Pierson Manville) at 145 moving to 1 in the nation. He also won the ADCC east coast qualifier. I believe he is 17 or 18 years old. I'm not sure if he has college aspirations or plans to go directly into mma but I will be excited to watch either path kids and absolute killer on the mat.
  12. Chance could have done well for himself to wrestle at the BF or Senior nats because I agree domestically, he does not have the 86kg results.
  13. Paddy was having a really solid year prior to his injury I think the cut to 157 is likely pretty hard on him. I'm optimistic he will be better at 165.
  14. this seems like good seeding to me so no hate just wondering about your chance seeding. Being a world team member and beating two world medalists a few months ago as well as I believe having the h2h with ringer I figured he was a pretty safe 2,3
  15. 57kg Zane Richards - 3 Thomas Gilman - 2 Daton Fix - 5 Marcus Blaze - 12 Spencer Lee - 4 Nico Megaludis - 6 Liam Cronin - 8 Daniel DeShazer - 10 Luke Lilledahl - 9 Richard Figeroa - 13 Vitali Arujau - 1 Nick Suriano - 7 Jax Forrest - 11 65kg Nick Lee - 1 Yianni Diakomihalis - 2 Kaleb Larkin - 6 Andrew Alirez - 3 Beau Bartlett - 4 Joey McKenna - 5 Seth Gross - 8 Austin DeSanto - 9 Jesse Mendez - 7 Caleb Henson - 14 Nahshon Garrett - 15 Tyler Graff - 13 James Green - 11 Alec Pantaleo - 10 Matthew Kolodzik - 12 74kg Jordan Burroughs - 1 Mitchell Mesenbrink - 5 Keegan O'Toole - 3 Jason Nolf - 2 Quincy Monday - 8 Alex Marinelli - 10 Alex Facundo - 12 Jarrett Jacques - 12 Tyler Berger - 9 Levi Haines - 13 David Carr - 7 Carter Starocci - 8 Meyer Shapiro - 4 Ladarion Lockett - 11 Vincenzo Joseph - 6 (this seeding feels absolutely wrong based off of where I think guys will place relative to seed but baced purely on PIN and senior/age level results this is where I think it shakes out) 86kg Patrick Downey - 11 Aaron Brooks - 1 Trent Hidlay - 3 Alex Dieringer - 4 Mark Hall - 5 Max Dean - 6 Connor Mirasola - 7 Evan Wick - 8 Parker Keckeisen - 10 Chance Marsteller - 2 David McFadden - 9 97kg Isaac Trumble - 4 Michael Macchiavello - 2 Kollin Moore - 3 Nathan Jackson - 5 Jay Aiello - 6 Eric Schulz - 8 Anthony Cassioppi - 9 J’den Cox - 1 Christian Carroll - 7 125kg Gable Steveson - 1 lol Hayden Zillmer - 2 Nick Gwiazdowski - 3 Wyatt Hendrickson - 4 Christian Lance - 7 Dominique Bradley - 6 Gary Traub - 8 Demetrius Thoms - 9 Trent Hillger - 10 Greg Kerkvliet - 5 Jaron Smith - 11 (this weight should just start at the quarters) I c&p'd from the OP so the seeds wont match as the names are listed
  16. more of a 2025-2026 lineups post, but for the PSU fans not sure if any of you watched NHSCA's but PJ duke looked absolutely unreal was really hoping he was going to NC state or Cornell but you guys should be pumped about him.
  17. I think Buvaisar and Sadulaev are always safe picks to call the goat I'd never argue with anyone there Satiev is probably my favorite wrestler ever. DT's dominance (outside of the hangover loss to Yazdani) has just been unparalleled but despite my argument that Yazdani could be the best ever if DT did not exist I will say 86 is likely on of the weakest weights in terms of depth if not the weakest. Its certainly very top heavy.
  18. I'm honestly not sure but if someone were to do it I think it could be Merrill he outscored his opponents 67-0 at Fargo including a 10-0 win over mirasola in the finals albeit that was at 220. He wrestled his high school season at heavyweight this year although his state finals run was not as dominant so perhaps the weight could be an issue for him especially as a true frosh.
  19. how did they seed it? I want to say Salk is 3-0 against Chamizo and I cannot recall the last time frank out placed him to a meaningful degree.
  20. dudaev losing to Haji I do not think is ideal for us at last chance.
  21. I believe Chance beat him earlier this year...
  22. with the Fish news today and a potential 197 Christian Caroll who just looked outstanding at the LCQ is okie state firmly in second going into next season? other things in motion "can Cael Hughes make 133" and "is Cody Merrill ready and big enough to wrestle heavy"
  23. away from Bo and Jax I thought Christian Carroll looked outstanding he may be able to push for top 5 at trials and could be an absolute monster at a pretty cleared out 197 next year.
  24. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nathan_Tomasello Just scrolling through this it really makes what forrest just did that much more impressive.
