  1. Pan Ams is going to have more expats than a Hong Kong finance convention. Hopefully there are as few pre-finals matchups as possible. At 57 (US rep, RBY, Cruz) and 65 (US rep, Gomez, O'Neill) at least one person will have to go to the global last chance.
  2. Expect little activity from the big boys prior to conference duals this year. There will be an increased focus on 1) get through finals 2) senior nats. Enjoy the holidays and expect some headscratching January results from marquee wrestlers while shaking off the folkstyle rust.
  3. Dake’s kink: cosplaying as schoolgirl
  4. Then they should wrestle at more “rankings” events to earn the #1 seed such as showing up to UWW events, Farrell etc. That high participation rate worked out quite well for Seabass at the world level and would be easily applied at the domestic level. But just like worlds, you can only do so much about the draw before you have to plain old beat the rest of the bracket to win the spot. McKenna has been a good example of this over the past year.
  5. What if the beads make you the best chess player in the world?
  6. Ryan is in the tunnel because it's a well-known fact that tOSU doesn't know how to get out when it matters most
  7. Pretty sure he's done because he left his shoes on the mat again in his latest insta story
  8. Wasn't a bug. It was a Kazakhstan feature.
  9. He has competed at 57kg at all but two competitions throughout his senior career spanning from 2018 to present. Why is it so hard to believe that a career 57 weighed in at 57? https://uww.org/athletes-results/micic-stevan-andria-15077-profile
  10. Which was what exactly for those of us in the peanut gallery?
  11. Yeah because Micic had an all-time dream draw. It was totally better than the gauntlet Seabass had to overcome… smh this is dumber than the Nelson Brands thread
  12. That’s why *UWW introduced Ethereum blockchain draws in December 2019.
  13. Glad I bought some stock in Reynolds last night
  14. 2015 Snyder beat Cox in the semis then Varner in the finals at the US Open and then beat Varner 2-0 in best of three at WTT.
  15. Boston crushed eleven thousand dreams https://www.baa.org/global-field-qualifiers-notified-acceptance-128th-boston-marathon-presented-bank-america
  16. Yes and Yes. But he’s not going to beat out Hopke at UM so he might as well go to the second best place and it ain’t PSU.
  17. Carroll is more NCAA ready but has a lower ceiling. Pitzer needs to leave yinzer to maximize his potential. Riding the pine for one year at Michigan would do him a career full of wonders.
  18. Gable Steveson and Joe Rau think your comment was a pretty corny thing to do
  19. You also have to consider that many people in Chicagoland are not originally from the area. Their parents moved for work and as such, their kids are encouraged to explore the same as their parents have done. So even if you want to wrestle, why not do it elsewhere to meet new people and become more worldly? It’s a cultural hurdle to overcome.
  20. It's less grassroots and more "if I'm going to college I don't want to stay home." That's a big hurdle to overcome considering NIU isn't exactly known for its stellar academics. Kids can get into Iowa with the same test scores and be given in-state tuition. Smart kids get into Illinois, Michigan, or Indiana for B-school/music. All those are better experiences than NIU. It's a big hurdle.
