  1. At least your company is not cheap and doesn't force you into PowerBI or Domo. Or SAS if you're an ancient actuary...
  2. I like to think of it like the Righteous Gemstones: Brooks is Eli and AJ is Baby Billy. Both are full of shit and will end up on infomercials.
  3. He's had 23 years to figure that out and the only thing he learned was a head pinch. He has always been dependent upon being bigger and stronger than his opponents but now that everyone is an adult the field has caught up. Having the largest neck and skull only goes so far. I stand by my opinion that he wouldn't finish higher than 8th and may likely not place if he switched to FS.
  4. I don't write him off for the lack of FS exposure. I write him off because Parris, Hendrickson, Davison, and Kerkvliet are grown-ass men now and would run a chugga chugga choo choo train double through the big boy. Stalling is not allowed in FS like it is in folk.
  5. If he switches to freestyle then he would just be Dom Bradley 2.0 so he should stick with greco and very seriously consider training outside of the US.
  6. So hear me out on this… if you give asterisk and extrapolate the last 5/10/15/20 years on top of the all time result wouldn’t that deliver a desired result from the recent results populus? It’s going to help some programs (such as SDSU and Rutgers and maybe ND), while also heavily devestating historical programs that have recently dipped (Oklahoma as a potential example). But it delivers the recency bias that the inevitable 57 pages of homer posts will ask for. It’s almost like you expect people to *read* for the me-now internet slurpers
  7. The fragmentation won't be that bad so not sure how you would end up overbalkanizing? You're describing a limited scenario for anything 16 seed and under. My shocking hypothesis is that that Cael*/ PSU run will throw out the weirdest curve.
  8. What top 15 team do you think will outperform their projected preseason point total the most +%? Illinois or NC State. Obviously NC State will finish higher, but you are asking +%. Both will narrowly edge out tOSU according to your criteria. What top 15 team do you think will underperform their projected preseason point total the most -%? Mizzou will narrowly edge out Oklahoma who has no right being ranked in the top 15
  9. Declaring we use Intermat's Tournament rankings RANK SCHOOL CONFERENCE POINTS NCAA FINISH 1 Penn State Big Ten 141.5 1 2(T) Missouri Big 12 65 5 2(T) Virginia Tech ACC 65 9 4 Cornell EIWA 62.5 3 5 Nebraska Big Ten 57.5 8 6 Michigan Big Ten 55.5 6 7 Arizona State Pac-12 54 7 8 Iowa Big Ten 48 2 9 NC State ACC 46 10 10 Oklahoma State Big 12 43 18(T) 11 Iowa State Big 12 38.5 11 12 Ohio State Big Ten 33 4 13 Rutgers Big Ten 26 34 14(T) Illinois Big Ten 25.5 31 14(T) Oklahoma Big 12 25.5 40 14(T) South Dakota State Big 12 25.5 14
  10. Weird way to spell "bribe Thomas Bach" but okay See above.
  11. Texas and Silicon Valley + NorCal are 100% interchangeable if you are comfortable swapping Patagonia vests and cowboy cosplay.
  12. It was a whole human more than "just" 60 pounds. He said he lost 200 and was still 15 over when they pulled the plug. You do the math...
  13. And (men's) wrestling can mete out 9.9 scholarships. Very unfortunately the statistical reality is neither 12.6/18 or 9.9 happens at the majority of institutions because both are poor sports. I'm not trying to argue, I'm just pointing out that anything other than FB or MBB is a struggle to allocate funding. It is the hill all olympic sports have been climbing as long as the scholarship game has existed. At least NIL is helping to defray some of those costs by essentially creating a legal, local version of The Bag Man for sports that did not previously have such a figure. It may only be a pair of shoes and some clothes or maybe a free Ford Focus lease or heavily subsized rent at an off-campus apartment, but it is something.
  14. Did I mis-speak about Woods meeting Alirez in the NCAA finals?
  15. That's a false anecdote. There is less of a chance for a scholarship for track, field, or xc than even in wrestling and maybe as bad as swimming. Very much falls into the self-funded group.
  16. Yikes forgot about that beatdown! Nickal really lost twice because, once again, refs are scared to call a pin against PSU. But Nickal stormed through the (much weaker) 92 bracket and had two tight matches against Cox. I think he would have made the standard PSU adjustments and taken out Heflin if they met again. PD3 would have been a blowout. All just conjecture anyways, but it's the offseason so what else is there to talk about lol
  17. He's on that Carter Starocci "cut my leg off" diet
  18. If David Taylor didn't keep secrets then Nickal, Zahid, and Ringer all would have gone 86 which would have likely removed Downey & Heflin from the picture. But instead Taylor was worried someone else may go get a medal and the world champ just couldn't let that happen on his watch.
  19. Weightlifting is currently an absolute shitshow for a number of reasons far too lengthy to dive into without ending up in the Non-Wrestling board. The chopping block for that sport wasn't just a message, it was the IOC drawing a very hard line in the sand; wrestling's cut was a shakedown so not quite an apples to apples comparison.
