  1. Speculation is "fine" and "all good." UPDATE USA Wrestling now lists Daton Fix as being registered to compete in Poland at 61 kilograms. But that's fine. This blog was premised on offseason speculation so that's all fine. This was not the first time, nor will it be the last, that we've written a speculative article based on tournament registration info that was later changed or updated. All good, though, and best of luck to Daton and everyone competing in Poland!
  2. I'm not sure it is a legal deer rifle in many states, believe .243 may be the min but should prob use .270 or higher.
  3. Yes the M-16 is military not the AR-15. It was based on the 15, the AR-15 did come first.
  4. but one of our esteemed posters in the know said: Camels Camels Camels
  5. This might be true, we could be rehashing covid medical science instead.
  6. but you didn't say rapid fire blast ...
  7. I don't know of any on the list that are military grade. For example the AR-16 is military, the AR-15 is not and is only slightly larger caliber than my grandfather's 1890s 22. It is however more powerful and smoother operation making it a most excellent vermin rifle. I don't have one but have shot one. If needing to protect family, pets &/or livestock from vermin this is an excellent choice. Have you ever seen the damage a porcupine can do to livestock or working dog or a skunk or rabid coyote?
  8. What assault weapons? You can't buy a full automatic AK47 in the US.
  9. I would not agree with that either and there is much about the NRA I disagree with, they go way to far in shooting down many reasonable changes. I do wonder though, what are the "military grade weapons" you speak of?
  10. If we follow Wkn's statement regarding first guns and gunpowder, the first jet aircraft WWII was build to kill people. Thus yes we should ban all commercial jet aircraft. But we should be allowed to keep our prop airplanes because like Orville & Wilbur most aircraft owner & pilots just want to fly and get there faster.
  11. Most aircraft manufactured for WWI & II etc were for killing people, look at percent of total numbers. Why did we beat the Brits, cause we had a lot of settlers with guns who were good at shooting game and vermin. Watch Braveheart ... Wallace and friends had a bunch of hammers etc. BTW: don't forget the first ... Cain killed Able. Also, I want to thank my good internet buddy @MPhillips for telling me about this "fun" Other Stuff section of this here board.
  12. Exactly ... why would you want to be sitting in an arena versus enjoying Hawaii? Now if it were beach wrestling.
  13. A gun's purpose is to kill game and vermin. A hammer's purpose is to hit nails. You already stated the airplane. Yet some folks have used all 3 for other purposes against the law resulting in murder charges. I'll give you a B on the airplane statement but ...
  14. On 911 aircraft crashed into the twin towers & Pentagon killing ~3,000. Does that make "aircraft culture" bad? As a pilot and aircraft owner does that make me a bad person? Certainly with many aircraft owners there's "glorification & worship" of their baby, plus all the money spent on her. Don't think I've ever included on a Christmas card but certainly have shared photos from trips with the kids posed by the plane. Perhaps all "culture" is bad.
  15. Orange is good if its the "brightest orange." Trump is not the brightest orange.
  16. So can we watch this on Flo or Track or both?
  17. Who knew, I thought everyone went to the Zoo for the summer, good tip.
  18. These are very valid points, they should put in a bid.
