  1. Facundo in on a low single, lets Gayer find the edge, finally drags him back in to get the 2.
  2. Facundo facing Gayer, who is in his first match of the year.
  3. 11-8 PSU at the half. I'm rooting for Penn State, but you have to give credit to the Rutgers guys who are wrestling hard and don't look intimidated by the white-belted singlet. But there is just a talent differential in these last matches.
  4. Review at the end of the Haines match but the No TD call upheld; no bonus.
  5. Escape and a TD for Haines, 5-0 at the end of the period.
  6. Haines finally gets the TD at the end of the period after a couple funky scrambles.
  7. Haines Both shoulders. And one of them was off the mat. His view was better than yours.
  8. Van Ness get the TD straight to his back, headlock, but runs out of time for the fall. Bonus for PSU.
  9. White gets another TD; 14-9 Van Ness so far.
  10. 6-4 Van Ness at the end of one. Was up 4-2 and Rutgers got in on a low single to tie it up, but Van Ness grabbed a pretty easy reversal to end the period.
  11. Bartlett 12-1 victory. Big flurry at the end, Bartlett in deep on a shot, takes Olivieri off the mat, Olivieri tries to turn on the way down and Bartlett takes him straight to his back. Olivieri wrestled a strong physical match, but did not intimidate the hugely talented Bartlett.
  12. Bartlett 2 on a re-shot. 4-1 Bartlett end of the second.
  13. Olivieri hands to Bartlett's face. Gets a talking to from the ref.
  14. Heilman 7-2 win. Rutgers up 8-0, and the lights are still on in the Bada Bing Arena. We'll see how long this lasts.
  15. BTN+ seems unable to show riding time. Again.
  16. I stepped away to check on the PA high school team tournament and now Rutgers is up 15-3. Slaughter.
  17. Peterson just runs over Steen for another takedown.
  18. 4-1 Rutgers at the end of the first period.
  19. Interesting symmetry between the far left-hand (low) side of the distribution and the far right. Some posters need to keep this in mind before they complain about high school underclassmen wrestling varsity at 107 -- some of these young wrestlers grow into middle weights and some will be future college 125 pounders. Eliminate the high school opportunity for small guys, or guys who are later developers, and you'll lose some future college wrestlers. But, of course, I am biased. signed, Lightweight
