  1. Spencer Lee v. Gene Mills Would like to see a best out of 3. If the match get's out of the first period, both of them probably taking top.
  2. Some say it is a virtue to know yourself. Of course, I don't believe that bullshit for one second. Too painful. Hide the mirrors!
  3. These are good points and I do not dislike Warner in any way, even though I am not enamored of his style. Not picking him to make the NCAA finals, but would not be surprised and agree that AA list is wide open.
  4. While Gardner over Karelin was impressive and covered well at the time, not sure it was a bigger upset than Slay beating Satieve in freestyle. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buvaisar_Saitiev
  5. Looking forward to Vito at NCAA's. Top 3 or 4 at that weight are something and rival 165.
  6. Cornell is thrashing Princeton after 5 matches and I think the Princeton coaches wanted a win sent Glory out at 125 v Ungar.
  7. McKee did give him a litte trouble after yielding back pts early. Will be an interesting match if they meet at B1G or NCAA's.
  8. Dual might warrant it just to snap it out of the borefest of the last matches.
  9. At the risk of being unkind, the announcers on ESPN+ for college wrestling are uneven in quality. Regularly turn the sound down or off.
  10. Cardenas majors Stoudt 8-0 -Stoudt did not have a good strategy in this match
  11. Dugan wins a tight one - is Loew healthy? A bit of a snooze match
  12. Watched the Warner match last night. He has been a tough competitor and accomplished quite a lot. A few times now it seems like his heart is not in it. I sure he wants to help his team, but we can all understand when the grind gets to a wrestler's mental and they have had enough. I am not blaming him just noting my read of his demeanor and performance.
  13. He is very good and that was bad luck. I expect he is going to accomplish at the highest NCAA levels. I was thinking during that match that he might be a little better at a lower weight class, but there is Max Dean whupping butts up a weight.
  14. I am not stating my preferences as to crunchy or creamy on a public forum, however I think the greater challenge can be in finding good taste without a lot of extra sugar and separation of oil, and a good texture etc I have to tip the cap to Wegmans organic - both crunchy and creamy (but not saying which is my favorite) as they execute very well. Most of my dogs like it too! Of course, I am probably in no posiiton to lecture Mr. P B on such things and everyone has their favorites.
  15. you self-identify as one of my favorite food staples - so I give you the benefit right off the bat
  16. RBY was asked about his vulnerability to Jesse Mendez and he said "Jesse who?"
  17. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Jimmy left themat.com forum and it collapsed and burned in short time. I ban and condemn wagers with forum departure coercion.
  18. I remember when Trenge put it out there that he intended to win NCAA's 4x. There was some backlash re: a lack of respect/humility. But first you must dream it before you are likely to achieve it. Trenge had some bad luck and never won it - but he was a real contender every year and is one of three correct answers of the best Lehigh upper weights never to win NCAA's. The two others (so far)?
  19. I think Cornell will win the tournament and after that all the guys that qualify at Easterns will wrestle at NCAA's. They could medal and mayby if they kept max Dean ????
  20. Jimm C has some very good analysis and I think your replies are mostly interesting and inciteful. I think Bartlett and Facundo will have more motion and attacks at NCAA's. I love the upside of Haines and he has a real shot at AA - but not yet there on a finalist or even the semis. Hope I am wrong! Not jumping on the Starocci skeptic train - all he does is win, win, win no matter what. Also think Kerk wins 285 and Dean is top 3 and as good a chance as any for 1st.
  21. This is pretty good but to me seems aspirational. They are probably at greater risk of getting bumped to 3rd with a few falling short than a serius challenge for team 1st. They found a way to keep the dual kind of close, bu don't think that will work as well at NCAAs. Skeptical of Woods and Murin going 2/3, but maybe. I think there is parity at 141 and Woods will have some close matches by the quarters. So 2nd not a bad guess. Murin is as likely to get 7 or 8 as #3. Just not there that he is top 3 at one of the toughest/deepest weights. Depth at 141 and 149 is like night and day.
  22. I am ok with trying it in OT only, as it is slightly better way to determing the match than relative riding time.
