  1. That has me worried. But then he just flattened Moore, so there's that.
  2. I don't think that moment is funny, I see it as painful. Maybe its because I am a parent of a competitive athlete.
  3. This one has been intriguing for me all year. He wasn't just a D3 wrestler, he was a D3 stud (1, 4, 2). He has been a solid member of the lineup all year, ranked in the mid-high teens the last half of the season. This gives a good look at how D3 compares to D1.
  4. 125 is a weird weight to predict from high school. Hard to know who will hold that weight as they age into their 20s, and the freshman have to compete against grown men instead of 14 and 15 year olds.
  5. Deakin might have cut a pound or two. Askren didn’t cut.
  6. Both types of cruciate ligaments (ACL and PCL) help to control the front to back movement of the knee. The collateral ligaments (MCL and LCL) control the side to side knee movement.
  7. There is a lot to unpack after a big weekend of conference championships. One effort that deserves some attention is Nash qualifying for the national tournament after three years off from the sport. In the current era of sport specialization, this is a tougher feat as compared to Heavyweight football players of a couple generations ago.
  8. I know you are asking how they "should" seed 165, this linked thread is about how they "will" seed 165.
  9. In all seriousness, they should just have Willie seed and re-seed the brackets. It would never happen, and I understand why there needs to be a set of rules to follow. But, common sense needs to prevail in individual cases like this, and how can all coaches agree on what constitutes common sense? If there was one guy that was respected by all, it might actually work out better than a set of rules.
  10. There is no rule that says there has to be a wrestle off. Brands decides who is entered into the B1G Tournament. He is choosing to hold a wrestle off to help him make the decision.
  11. From the RTC criteria page: International athletes/coaches who currently represent a country other than the U.S. may attend on a limited basis based on approval of the NGB and RTC. These individuals must be of similar competitive caliber. These individuals may attend on an intermittent basis in order to enhance national team development.
  12. RBY can't come back and compete for the US. Once you leave and represent another country, you can't rep the USA again.
  13. Not sure. I do know that Hamiti is officially 3-0 against Olejnik.
  14. Also, it may not be an official seeding criterion, but Hamiti is the defending B1G Champ at that weight.
  15. I was referring to Lukas Van Ness who red shirted his freshman year, and then did not start, but played well enough to be 2nd team All Big Ten and the first round draft pick of the Packers.
  16. Pretty similar “dominance” rankings. Both don’t have a signature win, yet dominate who they are expected to.
