  1. 165 should be the last match at Nattys. Toughest weight class, and the potential of former champ vs former champ.
  2. I’ll admit I don’t know a lot about them. Seem to be in the upper weights, where do they fit in with Brooks, Barr, Starocci and the rest?
  3. Both just committed to Penn St. Wisconsin, trained at AWA.
  4. I thought the same at first, but the box shows affiliated conference and overall record, not record in the conference. At least I’m hoping so I don’t look crazy lol.
  5. Looking ahead to the B12 tournament coming up, I was wondering. Who holds seeding criteria between R Elam, Surber and Batistida? All three are 1-1 HT. Elam beat Batistida, loss to Surber. Surber beats Elam, loss to Batistida. Batistida beat Surber, loss to Elam. Anyone know where each would be seeded? I want to guess Rocky gets the 1, but wasn’t sure based off the Surber loss. Elam, Surber, Younger, Sloan was my guess as to the top 4 at 197 in the B12.
  6. That’s exactly where he finished last year, was hoping he made the jump to AA this year. I’m holding out hope.
  7. Nah Coach Smith said earlier today that any fans worried the match won’t happen shouldn’t worry, it’s going to happen he said.
  8. I could see the winner of the first match ducking the conference finals with a MFF. Won’t hurt seeding and still undefeated.
  9. So I’n your scenario, either KOT or Carr would slide to the 3 seed with two losses? I don’t see it. Losing as the #1 or 2 vs the other even twice shouldn’t hurt that badly. If you’re suggesting one of the other conference champs move ahead of either of them, I’m not big on that either. Griffin, Amine or whoever else as a champ doesn’t deserve the #2 seed even if KOT or Carr have two losses. I get it may happen and you’re probably right, but Carr for example, two losses to KOT still should be ahead of one loss conference champ Griffith.
  10. O’Toole did an interview on flo yesterday saying he’s ready and “we’ll see you on the mat” in reply to Carr.
  11. O’Toole and Carr, worth the admission price alone. Should be a great match.
  12. I’m hoping so as well. Should be a great dual with multiple matches of ranked guys.
  13. Mizzou has a dual with Iowa St on 2-15. Will O’Toole and Carr meet up there first?
  14. Is Amine going to wrestle? Looked like something happened at the end of the Kharchla match. Could’ve been nothing, but he was saying something to the Mich bench before OT and before shaking hands.
  15. I didn’t put blame on anyone specifically. Number of reason we lost, not just Hawks. Could spin a wheel with a number of reasons we lost. Bottom line, we didn’t win matches we should’ve and State did. They wrestled above expectations and Mizzou seemed okay with keeping it close. It happens. Gotta get back in the room and work on things. I expect several outcomes to be different come B12 tournament time.
  16. He got the first TD in a scramble. Wittlake shot in, Hawks scored off a water fall postition. Obviously I didn’t except Hawks to destroy anyone. But I would think being down in the third he would’ve tried to at least attempt a shot. Unless you count the blast doubles from 4-5 ft away as attempts. He created no angles and was never close to scoring a TD on his own.
  17. Mizzou losses on criteria. 16-16 and most match points was the deciding factor. Okie State won when it mattered on the mat. They won 2/3 matches where they were ranked way lower. Give them credit. Mizzou looked super flat today. Gotta clean up the attacks to finish. Hawks, has 0 offense from neutral. That knee grab or whatever it’s called seems to be all he has. Straight on blast doubles don’t work without setups. We have work to do, that’s obvious.
  18. R Elam losses 5-4 to Surber. Just not good wrestling today for the Tigers. Wow
  19. Jacques gets a TD to go up 3-1 on Gfeller. Reversal and ride out for Gfeller who gets the win. Mizzou down 6-3. Mizzou looking flat. Not a great road trip.
  20. Hart with the loss to Carter Young 4-2. Mauller wins at 149. Tied 3/3 after two matches.
  21. Lee will wrestle 1-2 matches at B10s and then MFF out. It won’t hurt his seed, he will lock up the #1 seed.
  22. Hart was in on a couple great shots, just couldn’t finish. He beats Schwartz next time.
  23. Injuries and sickness had some folks out for awhile. No matches since 1-14 vs Wyoming, so hopefully everyone got healthy these last 2-3 weeks and are ready to roll the rest of the way.
