Agree 100%. I’m high on Cam Steed if he’s the one to take over 157, but I’m not gonna lie, Mitch at 157 in a Mizzou singlet sounded nice.

Say Mitchell goes 165. How interesting would a match at NCAAS be between him and O’Toole. I’m sure they are friends and very familiar with one another. It’s definitely a match I would love to see.

I’m absolutely excited to see what Whitting and Aeoden do in a Tiger singlet. We have a log jam in the upper weights, with Rocky, Hawks, Harmon Whiting and Aeoden. Interested to see how it shakes out. Minnesota has Millard coming from AWA, it was down to them and Mizzou I believe. As far as Wolbert goes, I haven’t heard much on him recruiting wise. From what I’ve seen he’s a beast for sure. After Aeoden is he the next big AWA kid?

Disclaimer I have zero inside information regarding both the school and the club. However with Messinbrink now going to PSU along with the Marisolas, I feel we as Mizzou fans should be worried. While we have gotten several great wrestlers from AWA, with the recent PSU additions, what once was a great pipeline could/might be now opening to other schools. First and foremost I don’t blame any wrestler going to PSU, but it sure was nice, outside of UNI that we got most most of them. I don’t actually know if Smith was recruiting the twins, but we were in on Mitch while he was in the portal. I hope we were in the initial process before CBU but I don’t know. Just seem what once great chances we land the top AWA talent has diminished. I could be way off, but I damn sure not as confident as I once was.

I think Mark Ellis 2x AA and National Champ did both football and wrestling at Mizzou. Football maybe a year or two before dropping and just wrestling full time.

That could be correct as well. I personally just found it intriguing that Iowa who’s known for good light weights wasn’t included but Illinois and Wisconsin were. Illinois I kinda get, close to Mo, and a young energized staff. Wisconsin was because of Reader who he said to have a good relationship with from the World team. Luke’s interview on the money round was pretty good. Lots of info on the background of his choice and why he made said choice.

@VakAttack Luke mentioned his top 7 in no particular order. Penn St, Michigan, Mizzou, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa St and Arizona St. With Iowa not being mentioned and being light weight U, as a Hawk fan did you think you guys had a chance at landing him. Generally interested on how other fan bases feel in regards to blue chip recruits. Mizzou, even though Mo is his home state, I felt we had about a 15% chance of landing him.

Not sure if Maple will throw his hat in the ring, but selfishly I would like for him to stay at Mizzou. He’s done a great job for the Tigers. I would think it’s possible he could be hired along with some others.

I’m wondering when a couple of these guys are going to commit. I’m sure it takes time, but Eierman entered the portal and was an Iowa commit in less than 48 hrs. Out of selfishness why can’t they all be that fast.

Hawks could be the front runner, I have no inside information. Between Hawks Harmon and Whittling one of them will be the starter. Could be any of the three. I think it will be Whittling, but I wouldn’t bet on that.

That’s rough to not be able to crack the lineup. I would say he could transfer, but the degree from Cornell outweighs that. Good for him sticking with it.

Whatever happened to Joshua Saunders. Big recruit from MO, can he not crack the lineup, did he graduate? Was hoping to see him do big things in college but it just hasn’t worked out.

I would say top 15 even without Mitch. To be honest I’d rather have him than not, but still a good team nonetheless.
