  1. Paris rode Big Cass parallel for the last minute of the match. No stall call.
  2. I mean that he wins his matches in almost the exactly same way. Take down, tilt, tilt, tilt, tilt until tech or fall. He's probably the strongest wrestler PFP, ever, and he is the GOAT...but is he so good that he's a bit boring to watch? You can play 20 of his matches and they will all almost look exactly the same. Same takedown over and over, same tilt, over and over. So I ask, Spencer Lee may be the GOAT, but is he a bit boring to watch (assuming you are not a Hawkeye fan)?
  3. Pinto looks dangerous. First time seeing him wrestle...I think he is a real threat to everyone at 184, even Brooks.
  4. On Kerk's last tilt he didn't release the wrist. Ref didn't catch it. It shouldn't have been a new move.
  5. If RBY doesn’t wrestle Sunday that will be three missed duals in a row.
  6. I heard RBY just dances and stalls. Maybe that's why the coaches rank him at 3?
  7. I think he is behind (in no particular order): DT Ruth Zain Bo Nolf
  8. Under this hypo Nick would have to wrestle for an Indiana team but Matt could wrestle in PA.
  9. I would make the hypothetical rule that you would have to spend at least 2 full years before enrolling in college in the "home" state.
  10. Imagine, hypothetically, that NCAA athletes had to be residents of the state in which a college is located. In other words, Penn State could only use Pennsylvania wrestlers, Iowa could only use Iowa wrestlers, Ohio State could only use Ohio wrestlers, etc. How would this change the current landscape of best D1 wrestling programs, if at all? I imagine Penn State and Ohio State would still be the top 2. But how about colleges like Illinois or Rutgers? Maybe Cornell would not be nearly as good and Iowa and Oklahoma State would also drop significantly.
  11. However this is the only year where there could be multiple 4x champs. Cael, Dake and Stieber all won Hodges when they were the only 4x champ that year.
  12. Why is it a lock that a 4x champ, 1 loss Yianni beats an undefeated 3x champ, 0 loss RBY or Starocci (if that happens)? What if those 3x champs bonus their way through the tournament? Yianni's bonus percentage isn't that impressive compared to other top Hodge contenders this year. Overall career accomplishments is lower on the criteria than dominance in the current season. There is no rule that says the Hodge winner must win the most overall career NCAA titles.
  13. I would wager that if Spencer finishes the year undefeated the Hodge will be his alone.
  14. He won't win if he has a loss. Hodge is supposed to be the most dominant wrestler, primarily. An undefeated Spencer 4-timer plus multiple undefeated 3-timers and 2-timers (RBY, Starocci, O'Toole) would trump someone who has losses this year, even if they are a 4-timer.
