Ahahahaha. Folks see Burroughs post on the Flo instagram on Star going 86kg? ‘Gonna be hard to end my career up there champ’ Amusing. Burroughs does well with this social media stuff.
-
So the cynical view of dropping weights between NCAAs and OTTs has proven correct. No go for Vito or Starocci. Makes complete sense. Anyone actually able to make a big cut from NCAAs?
-
My brain gets twisted on the weights with auto semifinalists. If someone sees brackets, pls post. Thanks all.

No idea if true. But I wonder about quality of life in NYC. If similar pay some may feel life is way better in a less expensive locale. Family preferences can impact things as well. There is a lot that goes into having a happy life.

Ha! I think The concepts of Dark Energy and Dark Matter suggest that our theories (the key being General Relativity) are good theories but are missing something. I don’t know what. But I’m thinking it isn’t these invisible, mostly non-interacting plugs. I feel like they are a cop out. But for now, Dark Energy is the most prevalent ‘thing’ in the Universe per the most accepted university theories!!

Often, we get some real surprises happen at OTTs. Not always but cool when it occurs. Some folks that make the team that are not the establishment. Feeling like our established guys are kinda old. I’d enjoy seeing some new blood. Question is who? While Dake and Burroughs seem like a big climb, 74kg has some amazing young guns. Can Alirez break through at 65kg? Many will say odds are very low. Hoping for someone to shock. Who would you predict or like to see do it?

The insight and wisdom of Pyles on display…

Deflect and weave. Common tactic. Like I said, reread the posts. All is quite clear. -

As mentioned, I get your perspective on the content you reacted to. All fair. You keep saying I’m being arrogant. Ok. I felt your original post was quite arrogant. And quite arrogant to assume I was CP based on so little information. So there. -

The chuckle was from you thinking I’m CP. And now, I’m guessing, that to feel confident enough to repeat your hypothesis, you must have taken a moment to review my past posts. I will admit that I’m very curious to hear how you connected these dots. And to some of your other points … read the title of this thread. You’re telling me that the title of this thread mixed with your initial post isn’t an attack on Pyles? Sure it is, you can admit it. I’ll respect you more if you do. By the way, as you review my past posts, you’ll see I enjoyed KC very much. Hoping more NCAAs are held there! -
In interview, Bo says he is going to make all the haters love him. He is being patient, keep fighting better guys. Will get to top.
-
Net net, he was not comfortable in on the feet exchanges.

Cody going for some big hits. Connects a bit. Nickal says ok, let’s wrestle. Attempts TD. Does eventually get it. Gets back control and eventually gets a leg in. Cody keeping chin down. Round ends with Bo in control. Landed a few elbows. Round 2 - this is a fight. Kicks. Bo decides enough, let’s get to ground. Works underhook to knee pick I believe. In control. Cody turns up towards him. Bo in full Mount. trying to set up arm triangle. Can’t get it. Working elbows lightly. No real damage being done. Starts to punch, Cody bellies down. Bo has back, body triangle, …. Eventually gets a choke. Done.

Since I know Dana reads these boards …. I bought the PPV. Wouldn’t have without Bo being on it. Good job Dana. BTW that 2x Olympic Gold Judoka, Kayla Harrison, is a beast. She is going to wreck the field.

Chuckle. Your opinion is reasonable from your perspective. I get it. I simply pointed out an inconsistency in your post. I’d also suggest that many many of the folks that subscribe to Flo or otherwise see their content aren’t following the sport as closely as you may think. I have friends in this boat. -

Did you read his post? If so, reread it. He disagreed with much of what Pyles said. And yet you say he isn’t disagreeing with anything. -

Stood out as a no sh*t Sherlock video?? That would mean that the video contained thoughts that are obviously true. And yet it seems that you are disagreeing with most of the statements in the video. You are not making any sense at all!!! Are you usually this confusing? (Huh, ragging on people for giving their opinion turns out to be pretty easy!) -
I don’t think so. Vito had a lot to say in the matter. He expressly wanted to wrestle the college season and did NOT want to take an Olympic red shirt. He wanted to graduate college. If took red shirt would have to leave college for the year. Vito had a ton of agency in the decision making and how this all unfolded.

Do you honestly believe what you posted here? Honest Q. Seem like many doubt Sad’s stated age. I’m curious if you do as well.

INJURIES SUCK!!!!! Not surprised about this news. Had real injury issues. Weight pull would be tough. Sounds like the weight pull is aggravating the injury. Guy is amazing. Hoping his healing period does wonders for him.
-
Does he do freestyle much?
-
Perhaps to older folks. But I’d say time has moved on. If there is a face for US wrestling now I’d say JB or Taylor. If Dake is an option in this poll, Taylor should be. My vote - JB. Has reached the pinnacle more. And has duration going for him as well. I get the Smith votes though.

Page 2. Anyway … seemed like a good interview. Ryan didn’t tear Pyles a new one. Ryan made incorrect statements. But he made it clear that he was reacting based on his perception. Pyles made fair and good points. I appreciate Ryan acknowledging some of them (Ohio State wrestling benefits from good funding). Also appreciate that Ryan is stressing that ‘win at all costs’ is not their approach. He feels there is a right way to act in life and in coaching. Very interesting that he talks to team about transfers they are considering. Sounds like he has a big focus on being forthright with people and his team. Wants to be able to look people right in the eye and know that he himself is fully above board. Seems like a great role model. Pyles made fair points. The original poster here and some others are so wrapped up in their bias against Pyles that they project negativity where it is unwarranted. So be it.

Is GOAT Talk in Wrestling ONLY Centered Around Championships?
Dark Energy replied to blueandgold's topic in College Wrestling
I’m picturing a situation where the wrestler pinned everyone he/she faced in the first period (including freestyle)…. Except for one opponent that simply had the recipe to beat him / her about 5 to 4 each time they wrestled and let’s say prevented two or three out of four NCAA championships. Yes - I can see GOAT talk. But they need to be super dominant. -
Last Chance Qualifiers - Brackets & Discussion

Just watched the Forest vs Tomasello final … wrecking ball is right. Wow. That was a butt kicking. Started with a sweet counter shot that was a fireman’s! Executed so well. Then another TD off a slide by I think. Tomasello seemed to not have any idea of the risk he was in on that last 4. Forest knew it and launched him. Really impressed -
